vicfarm7 Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Had a look on the bury pre match thread and it seems alot of us are struggling to find back up wingers to play. I know if we get an injury jeff can move up to LM and fuchs can play LB but Does anyone worry/think we need another winger as cover if albrighton or riyads form drop. Feel we missed a trick with sako on a free. Anyway interested in hearing peoples thought. Also if ive done this wrong aplogies....first thread.
vicfarm7 Posted 23 August 2015 Author Posted 23 August 2015 Yep we could use another winger for sure Anyone inparticular tbh i wouldnt even be suprised with a relatively unknown foreign lad or maybe we could splash out? Either way i trust our scouting setup
Soar Fox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 I couldn't believe people were turning their noses up to Sako on a free. He suits the way we play fast, direct hitting teams on the break. Certainly would have been a better alternative than bringing on Kante yesterday.

Lineker's Left Foot Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Pay some good cash for Demari Gray on deadline day. Blues will sell if his head is turned
foxfanazer Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Haha yeah I couldn't think of anybody Would love to nab Gray from Birmingham but it will cost a fair bit. Think a young player willing to be back up and learn is the way forward

Soar Fox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Wouldn't have minded him but not sure he'd be happy sitting out whilst Mahrez and Albrighton tear up the league Probably still would get a fair bit of playing time. He'd have had less competition here than he has at palace.
vicfarm7 Posted 23 August 2015 Author Posted 23 August 2015 Anybody fancy nathan dyer from swansea or a punt on someone like townsend. The more i think the more a winger is needed. Proved by kante playing lm as someone pointed out

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 I guess we have to rely on good scouting. Maybe Paulo has someone in mind, and so far has brought in the right kind of players, who should improve the side, when they have begun to gel; not that we are doing badly at the moment.
conLAD logan Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Sako isn't just a winger he can play behind the striker or as a striker to. I will never understand how people on here were concerned about his wages when we don't know his wages and we're not the one's who for the most part have to pay his wages (besides usual supporters buying match tickets & mechandise)
Gerard Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 We've played 4-4-2 in all three games now so we are very light on numbers on the flanks and I'm sure the club are trying to address it before the transfer window closes. I think Mahrez and Albrighton are two of our better players so I wouldn't necessarily want us to try and replace them as they're still developing and it would cost a fortune to get an upgrade. I think a young understudy would be fantastic and made to order for us, someone who could come on with 20 mins to go and cause tiring defenders a lot of problems. I have no opinion on who the player should be but a profile like 18 year old Demarai Gray from Birmingham would be good or the 16 year old from Gremio, Lincoln Henrique who we've been linked with. On a side note it's nice to finally be linked with South American players as they have genuine quality for bargain prices and it's a market we need to tap in to.

LCCFox96 Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 It seems our most likely next (and probably final) signing will be Daniel Amartey, rather than the winger that we need more to complete the squad in my opinion. Whilst I think Amartey would be a decent signing and a good squad filler whilst he develops, I'd sooner see £5.5mil invested out wide as the OP suggested.
nickelbyfox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Victor Moses? yep moses, phillips from qpr - but definitely need someone in to provide backup for albrighton/mahrez
foxinsox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Phillips was one of the better QPR players at the closing match last season. I would have him.
ARM1968 Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Thought Gradel was good yesterday. Pace, desire and some decent touches and crosses.
TJB-fox Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 Just pay the fee for Phillips. Don't fk about bidding 6m if QPR will only accept 8 etc. Just go and buy him

EverybodyDannsNow Posted 23 August 2015 Posted 23 August 2015 I definitely think we need one, but it needs to be someone who is happy to wait for his chance. Moses and Phillips are both good shouts.
