Vulpes Fosse Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Still buzzing after yesterday Massive contrast with one of my worst memories - a 0-5 drubbing http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/3417881.stm Just compare yesterday's team and subs with that team from 2004: Leicester: Walker, Curtis (Sinclair 78), Scimeca, Dabizas, Thatcher, Gillespie (Hignett 63), Davidson, McKinlay (Elliott 63), Guppy, Scowcroft, Bent. Subs Not Used: Coyne, Stewart.

Aus Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 My favourite was this one https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qVtG6cKjknE 4-1 down at about 70 minutes and rescued a point! Great game
Fox92 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 We had no money that year though. We've spent £20million this summer.

filbertway Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 That year's squad wasn't bad but we somehow got relegated. One of the most painful seasons in my time as a supporter. I think out of that squad only Walker and Thatcher would have a chance of getting in out first XI.
surrifox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I think out of that squad only Walker and Thatcher would have a chance of getting in out first XI. Guppy? he was an England player at the time I think
Basingstoke Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 The League Cup game in 2006 was also a fantastic game. We equalised twice before conceding a penalty in injury time. Henderson pulled off a great save from Gareth Barry and the place erupted! They got a fortunate 119th winner which deflected in off Gareth McAuley, but it's one of my favourite early memories of the KP.
filbertway Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Guppy? he was an England player at the time I think Was trying to work out if it was his second spell with us, couldn't actually remember haha. Gupps in his prime would probably just get the nod over Albrighton, both great crossers of the ball.
lestajigs Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 My first visit to villa park FA cup game, 2000 I think bang of the bar!!
Izzy Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 My favourite was this one https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qVtG6cKjknE 4-1 down at about 70 minutes and rescued a point! Great game What a night that was. For some reason I've now forgotten (probably a free ticket), I was in the Doug Ellis upper stand in with the Villa fans. I managed to stay relatively quiet when we got in back to 4-2, but went nuts when we scored our third. Some Villa fans then starting having a go at me and some stewards got involved. When we equalized I went mental and had to be escorted out for my own safety . Happy days..
LCCFox96 Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 Not the 2-1 defeat in the FA Cup last season. What a drab affair that was bar Kramaric's rather brilliant header. Awful afternoon.
RonnieTodger Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I wasn't there but it must have been special when Elliott scored the winner in the League Cup semi final
Master Fox Posted 14 September 2015 Posted 14 September 2015 I'ver never forget when we beat them away 1-2 and Arnar Gunnlaugsson smashed in the winner. Serious scenes that day
