Vacamion Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I understand why you'd be cynical but no, not true at all. I'm getting really tired with what's probably my least favourite sight in rugby at the moment: scrum halves with the ball in touching distance at the back of a scrum, able to play it but waiting in hope that the ref us going to give a penalty. Just play the ****ing ball. I think refs need to be strong, aim to keep the game flowing and let the players know that they are not going to fall for penalty seeking behaviours, but I agree that it's not easy.
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 The problem for refs in the current rules is that they have a dilemma. They can give reset after reset and bore us all to tears or make snap decisions and just award penalties to whoever they think was on top. It's one of the few times I end up agreeing with Brian Moore who just ends up repeating "how the bell can the ref possibly make a decision there?" and I honestly believe he can't and that the answer is just that they guess quite frankly.
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Back to this game: I take it back, this isn't a different Wales, it's the same old Wales. Boring and predictable. In which case Lancaster is a rugby genius, got his tactics spot on. Front up, be solid, Wales will run out of ideas. Going to take something special from some Williams or other to win this. George who?
MooseBreath Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Everytime I hear swing low sweet chariot I get shivers. It's so stirring. I've had to put a jumper on because they're singing it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again and

Generally yes, but even you have to concede that England were pretty dominant in quite a few of those scrums which ended in penalties. Seems a bit more even up front this half.
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 The one that drifted off to the right yes. The one that wheeled, you're telling me only Wales were wheeling that? How does he even tell, cmon? The first one, how is that any more an England penalty than the third or fourth one that he inexplicably gave to Wales?
cambridgefox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Oh for ****s sakes. No luck at all with injuries. Not good to see for a major tournament. And again!!
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 What the **** is this. Seriously. Our injury list is just insane. Hallam Amos shouldn't have even been anywhere near the side.
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 If we survive this scrum without conceding points I'd be amazed but if we do I'd find it hilarious if Tipuric comes on as a back and wins it. Are the Welsh players all made of glass? Fibreglass.
cambridgefox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Now this is interesting. Good pick up that
Vacamion Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Jeebus. Whatever happens, Wales have been heroic.
cambridgefox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Wouldn't say heroic or brave but Biggar has been absolute class.
Finnegan Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I swear to god it England get a penalty from this scrum and win I'm going to kill myself.
Guest Bilo Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Out of our own World Cup. Jesus. Fair play to Wales, they were well up for it and England were atrocious.
RobHawk Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Great game! Great win for the welsh! Chuffed here in Swansea!
BlueSi13 Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Absolutely criminal from England. Game completely and utterly thrown away. Lancaster should be fired tonight. We are as good as out unfortunately.
RowlattsFox Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Shocking to lose from the position we were in. Too many pens which always seems to be the case when I watch England.
Vacamion Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Well played. Gutted. City get dicked and England chuck away an imposing lead to lose. What a day.
isaidno Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 Don't get why ben youngs was taken off. Thought he was playing well
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 26 September 2015 Posted 26 September 2015 I feel dirty but I had a tenner on Wales at 3/1
