I won't mind if the record is broken once Vardy has retired but for now I'd hate to see him lose it. Especially to a team that isn't going to achieve anything.

Our next four home league games are against London clubs. Has this ever happened before?

Depending on the QPR result and possible cup draws, it could be five (or six) in a row in all competitions.

Apart from Everton, I think every match between now and the start of March is against a London club, assuming we either lose to QPR or win and play another London club in Round 4.

This is it for me.

RVN's record stood for over 12-13 (?) years.

For Vardy's to have lasted for less than a decade would be crap.

Vardy's record is special because it contributed to the league win.

Leicester City have lost seven consecutive league games for only the fourth time in their history, also doing so in April 2001 (a run of eight), September 1990 and January 1932.

Look at the company he's keeping:

(For the other one you mention, 1932, the board took over from Willie Orr midway through the run of defeats).

I'm struggling to find when City previously lost 4 home league games in succession without scoring.

However, in 1971/72 under Jimmy Bloomfield, they did play 5 successive league games at home without scoring, but 2 of those ended as 0-0 draws.

Leicester are unbeaten in their last four home league games against Brentford (W2 D2), having failed to win in any of their first eight home meetings with the Bees between 1937 and 1953 (D4 L4).

However, the Foxes have lost each of their last five Premier League home games – they have never lost six in a row on home soil in their league history.

Ying Yang

In fact, in terms of non-penalty expected goals, Chelsea’s tally of 0.8 was the joint-lowest in a game against City, level with van Nistelrooy’s Manchester United against Steve Cooper’s City back in November.

City’s least threatening performance of the season.

They had three shots, the fewest they’ve mustered in a game all season, and they managed an expected goals tally of just 0.1. They had four touches in the Chelsea box, the joint-fewest they’ve had in a match this term.

Not Leicester but rather revealing re the state of English football.

Eddie Howe is the first ENGLISH manager to win a major trophy since 2008
He did it by delivering Newcastle United’s first domestic trophy since 1955

Plus

Trippier’s the 65th player to leave spurs after 2008 and win a trophy

City have now had 75 shots at home, with 23 on target, since they last stuck one away.
