foxfanazer Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I think with the new TV deal prices of backup players is going to spiral.Yeah absolutely. Especially if we are going to establish ourselves as a top 4-10 team
My Nads Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Suits our team more based on what? Results? No, we have better results with Ulloa. Goals scored? No we have a better scoring ratio with Ulloa. Defensively? No we concede at a higher ratio with Okazaki on. I just have no idea why people say this. Ulloa put to be the 'only played against rubbish teams' on Monday when we beat Chelsea, who will be up there come the end of the season, so don't understand the logic. Wouldn't have minded if we looked better with Okazaki when he came on with fresh legs, but every input in the Chelsea game was doggo. With Shinji and Vardy closing down it doesn't give the other team time on the ball. It changes their mindset for the game. Leo will come on at some point as always. Hope Dyer gets some decent time on the pitch today.
Babylon Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 ulloa helps us a lot at defending set pieces which is where we concede half our goals so i'd leave him inI'm sure the manager will have noted Everton have beenvery poor from set pieces this season (cast iron they'll score now I've said that). With them being very attacking and Drinkwater being out I can understand him wanting someone who drops back more. That and I thought Ulloa was dog turd against Chelsa, but I'd imagine it's more to do with their attacking threat.
Guest Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 The Shinji apologists arguements are getting thinner. Big performance needed today I think the Shinji haters need to check their spelling. Guy has been an integral part of the team leading the Prem.
Webbo Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Claudio's barely put a foot wrong all season. If he thinks Shinji should start then who are we to argue?
connorlcfc Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Don't really agree with King either but we don't have anyone better to come in, don't rate him at all, sits too deep and backs out of challenges, our midfield goes missing every time he's in the team, we looked a lot weaker when he came on for Danny against Chelsea
foxfanazer Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I think the Shinji haters need to check their spelling. Guy has been an integral part of the team leading the Prem. He really hasn't
Babylon Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Claudio's barely put a foot wrong all season. If he thinks Shinji should start then who are we to argue?Yeah but we all know better, I'd have the league won by now.
Corky Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Claudio's barely put a foot wrong all season. If he thinks Shinji should start then who are we to argue? Ulloa is useful but struggled on Monday. Okazaki doesn't affect a huge amount with the ball but off it his work is very important and I think he'll upset the Everton defence more.
ImBlue Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Mangala was 3rd choice at Man City last season, & he cost as much as a carribean island. Deulofeu, £3m Kante, £5m Payet, £10m You're telling me you can't get more than a 4th choice 29 year old centre back for £6m?
sdb Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Shinji to cut off the supply line to their front 4 I reckon. Plus Ulloa could barely move last 30 on Monday. Squad does start to look a little thin once we've a few injuries. I'll cut my left nut off if we don't concede today. Come on City!!!
Unabomber Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 If anyone has a good stream could they pm me please
My Nads Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Claudio's barely put a foot wrong all season. If he thinks Shinji should start then who are we to argue? He sold Nuge which was a huge mistake for me!
ImBlue Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 I think the Shinji haters need to check their spelling. Guy has been a peripheral part of the team leading the Prem. Fixed it.
Aus Fox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Don't really agree with King either but we don't have anyone better to come in, don't rate him at all, sits too deep and backs out of challenges, our midfield goes missing every time he's in the team, we looked a lot weaker when he came on for Danny against Chelsea What after 15 minutes? at 0-0, in a game we went on to match world class players in midfield and win? Ok.

How many times has Okazaki finished 90 minutes? The fact he was tired 5 days ago is irrelevant.
weller54 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 He sold Nuge which was a huge mistake for me! Yeh, we've really struggled since he's gone...
sdb Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Any streams? Would appreciate a link if so please!
ImBlue Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Yeh, we've really struggled since he's gone... We've not really struggled since someone else has gone, hasn't stopped the mourning.
Aus Fox Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Deulofeu, £3m Kante, £5m Payet, £10m You're telling me you can't get more than a 4th choice 29 year old centre back for £6m? I wouldnt want to play any of those at CB to be fair...
Lionator Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Marcin "elbows" Wasilewski is back Ref is Jon moss got a feeling we'll finish with 10 men. Despite him never receiving a red card in his 2 and a bit years at Leicester.
bluesbrothers Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Can understand Shinji as a choice for an attack-minded set-up - snap at their heels and try to draw mistakes for Vardy to pounce upon. However, I do NOT want to see him in our own box after Schweinsteiger's goal against Man Utd. Bring Vardy back and keep Shinji in the forward position - Jamie has the legs to join a counter anyway.Do have a certain amount of nerves with Ulloa dropped despite being excellent defensively and Was lacking matchtime against Lukaku. Hope I'm proven wrong, but expecting this to be a high-scoring nail-biter.

Well done
sdb Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 As he had put a shift in. How many times has Okazaki finished 90 minutes? The fact he was tired 5 days ago is irrelevant. Ha jeez calm down. I didn't slate his performance. Fatigue isn't irrelevant mate and i'm pretty sure Okazaki is fresher right now. I prefer Ulloa but the managers choice makes sense. Enjoy the game.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 19 December 2015 Posted 19 December 2015 Changes expected. I have the trust Wasyl will come in and do a very good job at centre back, as the same with Kingy in the centre midfield alongside Kante. I can also understand the thinking of Okazaki coming in for Ulloa, as Leo played on Monday night v Chelsea. Good team, let's hope for a good result too.
