desertfox2 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Think this is best for everyone. Actually think he will start scoring and we will take him back at end of the season
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Wonder if we will ever find out what has gone wrong here. I've been thinking its a way of Ranieri simply stamping his authority on the squad. Maybe Krama hasn't even done much wrong, but is just a fall guy for the manager to show how ruthless he can be to the rest of the squad? Keeping them on their toes and in no doubt who is in charge!

Surely we must have a cheaper scapegoat

desertfox2 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 I think it was this: 6th october Kramaric suggested Ranieri's approach to management has made it more difficult to impress than when he played under Nigel Pearson, who was sacked in June. "Pearson and Ranieri are very different. Ranieri pays a lot more attention to the defence - whatever we do up front is good," he added. "He's not very sociable, but rather an introverted sort of person. But the team is doing great." Leicester, who are fifth on the Premier League table following a strong start to the season, visit Southampton on October 17. MC Prussian Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Hoffenheim have a rather rich owner - Dietmar Hopp is the co-founder of the logistics software SAP. He bought and brought the club all the way up from the doldrums to Bundesliga level. No doubt we'd see a decent chunk of cash wandering across the table if a (permanent) deal can be agreed upon between these two parties.

desertfox2 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 In the quotes you have pulled out, where does it suggest it's harder to impress?I was thinking more the Ranieri is not really sociable bitI didn't suggest that that was cut and paste from the 442 article. Their assumption Maybe Ranieri took it personally.
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Save yourself the bother next time. Cheers mate, good point well discussed.
Babylon Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 I was thinking more the Ranieri is not really sociable bit I didn't suggest that that was cut and paste from the 442 article. Their assumption Maybe Ranieri took it personally. He's always there looking on in the images and hasn't seemed hand off, certainly not heard anything like that. I don't know why we need to try and find a reason above and beyond him just not fancying him as a player.
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 I don't know why we need to try and find a reason above and beyond him just not fancying him as a player. Because the idea of us now trying to sustain our good season with just Ulloa up front in the event of one injury does not paint Ranieri in a good light.
desertfox2 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Because the idea of us now trying to sustain our good season with just Ulloa up front in the event of one injury does not paint Ranieri in a good light.Exactly, unless of course we have someone else lined up to replace Krama it could blow the best chance we have ever had. It's unlikely we will score as many goals in the last half of the season as we did in the first half. Vardy would have to go on another record breaking run and Mahrez will have to rediscover his form very fast. Both of which are unlikely. And we have to stay injury free again it's unlikely.Hope I'm wrong or we do have someone coming in, in which case null and void but if it does go wrong what a wasted opportunity
Babylon Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Because the idea of us now trying to sustain our good season with just Ulloa up front in the event of one injury does not paint Ranieri in a good light. Totally separate issue entirely. It also totally presumes we have no interest in signing someone... something we won't know for a while.
Will1981 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Ranieri has just been on sky sports news talking about Krameric, he says he really likes him and he is a very good goalscorer and works hard in training but he feels the other 3 are better for our style of play. When asked about the Hoffenheim loan he said he needs to talk with Krameric about weather a loan or a permenent move would suit him better as he needs to be playing before the EURO's.
EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Totally separate issue entirely. It also totally presumes we have no interest in signing someone... something we won't know for a while. How is it a separate issue? We play 442. You normally need 4 strikers in that scenario. Without Jeff until March we only have 3. In the quite possible scenario of an injury to Vardy we will end up with one of Shinji or Ulloa up front (assuming Ranieri wants an option on the bench). This forces us into a 451 which has resulted in poor performance from us in all but the Man City game. And the second half of Southampton where Mahrez came on as an attacking centre mid. His only good 45 minutes in that position for us by the way. And yes I am presuming we aren't getting another striker. A deal as far as we are aware is not being done, and even if there is one in the pipeline there is no guarantee it will conclude.
Babylon Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 How is it a separate issue? It's a separate issue because what we were discussing was why he got rid of him. You are speculating that there is something else in it, where it could just be that he doesn't fancy him. Whether Ranieri wants another striker as cover, is a totally different issue. Whether he does or doesn't has nothing to do with why he got rid of or doesn't want Kramaric.... other than he thinking someone else will be better.

EnglishOxide Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 You are speculating that there is something else in it, where it could just be that he doesn't fancy him. When the manager comes out and says Kramaric is a hard worker and a great goalscorer its hard to understand why he doesn't fancy him. That's why there is speculation. I'm speculating that it's a ploy to keep the squad wary of complacency. I'm not saying that its a bad thing. I'm saying that its an easy scenario to imagine (we let our 4th striker go, and 1 or 2 of our remaining 3 get injured - thus affecting our formation and philosophy which has brought us this far). And if that does happen criticism of the manager will be justified. We really do need a new striker now and I would be slightly concerned if we don't get one.

He's not going to say no Kramaric is proper dog shite and I want him gone is he? we wouldn't get any money back on him

Babylon Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 Since when have quotes from managers decided a players value? He's an asset... if you were selling your car would you say. "It's a great little runner, or it's a bag of utter shit." It's really basic common sense to not run your asset into the ground verbally, rather big them up and get every penny you can.

I like the car analogy but I called him an asset 20 minutes before you did !
