indierich06 Posted 18 January 2016 Posted 18 January 2016 If - in Ranieri's own words - he's a good goalscorer, then that would bring more to our side than Ulloa or Okazaki do, to be honest. I'd like to see Kram replace Vardy from the subs bench more often and play with a front two of Vardy or Kram + Okazaki or Ulloa.

MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 A deal with Hoffenheim looks more likely now. German tabloid "Bild" are basing their assumptions on a Sky Sports report. A Croatian news site has stated the same, whilst mentioning that Dinamo Zagreb were also interested: However, they simply couldn't afford it. http://www.24sata.hr/nogomet/nista-od-maksimira-kramaric-ce-potpisati-za-hoffenheim-457004 UPDATE: Transfer to Hoffenheim seems to have been agreed upon. http://www.90min.com/de/posts/2883766-offiziell-tsg-hoffenheim-verpflichtet-stuermer-von-ueberraschungsteam-leicester-city
MC Prussian Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 The established German football magazine Kicker has now stated that Kramaric will officially be unveiled as a Hoffenheim player this week: http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/643280/artikel_kramaric-per-leihe-nach-hoffenheim.html#omsearchresult
filbertstreet Posted 19 January 2016 Author Posted 19 January 2016 Rest of season loan with option to buy then? Everyone's happy
filbertway Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 His first game could be home to Leverkusen, nice game to ease him in! haha Did not know Vargas was there.
coolhandfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 We most have someone coming in, can't see only have 3 strikers on the books for the rest of the season, couple injuries we are in trouble. A really shame it has worked out for Kram.

A really shame it has worked out for Kram. Jeff must be back to fitness soon? that will be the 4th plus Mahrez can play in the hole. So I don't think we are desperate to replace Kramaric. It is a shame it hasn't worked out but it does happen every now and then.
nnfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 We have to replace Kram, I'm really surprised that Ranieri has the attitude he has towards him, even if he were 4th in line surely they wouldn't let him go without having a replacement lined up. Vardy is running just about on empty, Okazaki is inconsistent at best and Ulloa is playing terribly at the moment and has been for most of this season. I don't understand why we would leave ourselves without back up. One injury or suspension and this could really come back to bite us. Schlupp/Mahrez/Gray are all handy to have but no way any of them could play as an out and out striker.

Kramaric obviously wants to be playing football and he isn't going to get any here fair play to him for wanting to leave. We probably haven't got the funds available to go out and get a striker that is going to get you 20+ goals. We are still a small club that is ran like a proper business.
Guest Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 He'll bang them in. Babylon will cry that it's only against Bayern and Borussia. He'll be back at city next season and lead us to the double.
nnfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Yes but we are big enough and good enough to expect to have a striker that when the ball is played to him, they are able to do something with it other than letting it bounce of them or watch it go under their foot. They don't have to score 20+ goals, they just have to have the potential to score a few now and again. Letting Kram go without someone coming in will hurt us.
foxes21 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 I think we will get a striker on loan if this goes through, tbh. Then re-asses our striking options in the summer. I think that's best for now, instead of splashing a ridiculous amount on someone who could flop.
Countryfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Of course we need someone else .... How can you have any aspirations to finish in the top 4 to 6 without having more than 3 recognised senior strikers. I think we just have to trust in CR who hasn't let us down so far. My only worry is that if someone is lined up there s some sort of last minute hitch (medical, counter offer etc) that scuppers the deal and leaves us high and dry. Perhaps a loan ??

I hope he does bang them in. I've never written him off, more battled against people who seem to think he's brilliant on the basis of zero evidence.

To be fair, you're describing Spurs, Chelsea and Man U there.
Countryfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 To be fair, you're describing Spurs, Chelsea and Man U there. Will they finish in the top 4 ?
Legend fox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Will they finish in the top 4 ? Spurs 4th Man U 5th or 6th Chelsea 8th or 9th.
Jfox90 Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Think a loan deal is best for the lad, obviously not near 1st team plans and if we sell it would more than difficult to recoup anywhere near what we paid for him. If he gets some goals in germany and gets in croatia team for euros we will have a better and more valued player come next year, shame he's never had a run of games to really show what he can do though.
Countryfox Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Spurs 4th Man U 5th or 6th Chelsea 8th or 9th. So if we want to finish in the top 3 we need that other striker .... (iPad won't let me do that smiley winking face).
fuchsntf Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 So if we want to finish in the top 3 we need that other striker .... (iPad won't let me do that smiley winking face). yeh why is that with smileys, I can put them out elsewhere from tablet, but not on this forum..??
fuchsntf Posted 19 January 2016 Posted 19 January 2016 Why worry about the lack of strikers, we have a couple who can move up, the polish Messi, is waiting to be let out to run riot again...WASI. Then the German who is ahead of everybody, Huth. Waiting in the Wings , Benny, and RDL if called upon.
