Larry_LCFC Posted 22 March 2016 Posted 22 March 2016 I've not had a problem in the dz alone. Rogue agents are quickly obliterated by decent people. Not been killed by a Rogue once yet.
Adster Posted 24 March 2016 Author Posted 24 March 2016 Finally hit rank 30 and gone into the DarkZone for real. It's a right laugh and there's a lot more PvP now the update has come in. Once you hit the end game, it's all about Pheonix Credits. Dark Zone funds do become obsolete if you want high-end gear. When I just hit rank 30 I tried a level 32 challenge mission and I got absolutely destroyed . As I only just hit level 30 all my gear was level 28/29 so it was no suprise I got destroyed but it was hilarious. Unless your packing 80-100k DPS and plenty of health I wouldn't recommend the challenge missions at all, unless your with a group who can carry you.
MrSpaM Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Give that a watch, it basically tells you what's worth doing when you hit 30
Samilktray Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 I've gone from loving this to finding it an absolute chore to play. Not enjoying it at all at the minute.
Rusko187 Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 Sooo what is the verdict on this? I really wanted this game but watching some vids on Youtube it really just seems a bit of a let down. Which is a shame considering this was one of the biggest reasons why I went for next gen.
Larry_LCFC Posted 24 March 2016 Posted 24 March 2016 I enjoyed it to start with. I've maxed out my base and hit level 30. Dark Zone is pretty hard because youre put against high level computers regardless of DZ rank. The challenging missions are impossible. Needs some DLC fast or its hitting the back of the cupboard.
Adster Posted 30 March 2016 Author Posted 30 March 2016 Ubisoft need to address the imbalance in the Darkzone, it's absolutely pathetic. Me and my mate (who have just got in game rank 30, so not packing too much DPS and health and only level 20 dz) will try and fight off 1 level 30 rogue and his darkzone rank is like level 75, and he's packed in level 31/2 high end gear. He can kill us in 3 seconds flat, we're both pumping LMG's/Marksman rifles in and we do nothing. It's not fun at all and it doesn't encourage people with a lower dz rank and lower gear to participate in PVP. It's only good if you've nerded it out to high-end gear and level 70+ darkzone with 130k DPS (while i'm only packing 50k+). I shouldn't be having to encur these players.
Larry_LCFC Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I agree. Just because I'm level 30 in the normal game, doesn't mean I should be in the top seeding in the dark zone. I get shat on.
Adster Posted 31 March 2016 Author Posted 31 March 2016 I agree. Just because I'm level 30 in the normal game, doesn't mean I should be in the top seeding in the dark zone. I get shat on. Exactly. It's absolutely pathetic that if I come accross a guy whose DZ rank is like level 70 (meaning he'll have invested tonnes more time in the game and be packing double my DPS) he kills me in 5 seconds, and I pump 5 magazines into him he doesn't die! Makes the DZ really uninteresting and frankly a place that new level 30 players can't take part in.

Makes the DZ really uninteresting and frankly a place that new level 30 players can't take part in. Does DZ Level even affect anything I was under the impression it was A) Level then B) Gear and DZ level is purely to unlock items in DZ shops which as you've already pointed out, are pretty useless as Phoenix Credits are the way to top end gear. Anyway, I still play it but it is literally two daily missions on hard which I can smash through in about 15 minutes flat each, and if 4 of us are on the Challenge Mission which is probably the only enjoyable thing left in the game, then it gets turned off, DZ was a laugh for a bit but is ultimately to PvE focused and there is a distinct lack of reward for time invested. Does need DLC but I wouldn't expect it anytime soon.
Larry_LCFC Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 From what I can tell, you can get level 32 high end stuff from the DZ which is the ultimate. However to get that, you need to be a decent rank to kill the ****ers.
dbtcity Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 Ranked up to level 30.... Go in the the DZ..... Spot a few rouges..... Go to take them on.... 2 f**king bullets later I'm dead!!! What is the point!! I have a feeling getting your rank up in the DZ as a solo player is verging on impossible

What is the point!! I have a feeling getting your rank up in the DZ as a solo player is verging on impossible If I am reading that properly you'd just ranked up to 30, went in the Darkzone, and tried to take a group of probably better equipped players, by yourself. Probably not the best way to go about ranking up you DZ level, which I don't think has anything to do with DPS or health anyway. It's all gear, I'd recommend dailys on hard and build up Phoneix credits to improve your gear over going into the DZ alone.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 DZ does have the best gear but you have to unlock the vendor at the safehouse at the top of the map where the really tough enemies are and be DZ rank 50. The vendor sells blueprints for level 31 gear that.

dbtcity Posted 5 April 2016 Posted 5 April 2016 I'm only level 15 in the DZ which is a pain as well as every crate I come across I need to be level 30, I've learnt my lesson now though when ever I see a rogue pop up I run the other way
Larry_LCFC Posted 9 April 2016 Posted 9 April 2016 Mixed feelings about this update on Tuesday. So much is going to change.
Adster Posted 26 April 2016 Author Posted 26 April 2016 Anyone still on this? Safe to say the game has died out pretty quick. The amount of bugs and glitches are embarassing. Still go on occasionally when some mates come online. Had a right blast in the DZ last night.

Still go on occasionally when some mates come online. Had a right blast in the DZ last night. Not too often. It's just painfully boring, DZ is a great idea but too much of a grind. Mainly DS 3 atm but with all this football and work barely getting near the play station.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I'm still playing most days. Not as good since the changes. Crafting is pretty impossible. Trying to get materials is a bit of a joke now.
lifted*fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I've given up. My char is level 179 I think but every hour I spend wondering about the DZ feels wasted as I come out with gear / guns worse than what I already have - every single time. I get that it's a loot based RPG but the RNG is impossible. Not only is the chance of getting the actual gear / gun you want absolutely minimal, getting it with the right talents is damn near impossible. You can pick up 100 M1A rifles for all of them to have shit talents on with not way to roll them. Massive have completely failed to implement a rewarding loot system in this game - ultimately it is just a boring grind in the same small part of the map for no reward. You've got 70% of the map which is rendered completely useless. They've failed to communicate with the community in an effective manner and the numbers playing their game are dropping every day. What is the point in levelling up and getting better gear? In Destiny it meant you could take part in the raid and be better in the multi-player element of he game. In the Division you just go straight back to grinding for the next piece of gear. All of the glitches and exploits means there are players who are WAY overpowered and just end up killing everyone on sight in the DZ because there is literally nothing else to do. If my character was powerful enough I'd be doing the same thing. By the time they bring out the next update and the first piece of DLC the game will be dead. Shame really because it had some great potential.

lifted*fox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I know dude and I've been championing the Division to all my mates convincing them all to stick with it, but the way Massive has reacted to the community since launch has done nothing to fill me with confidence that they actually know what they're doing - in any way / shape / form. If they wanted this game to be a success they needed to look to the way Diablo 3 failed in it's first year - the way Destiny failed in it's first year - it's not the first time this kind of game has been made, just a new setting. They should have gone all out and drafted in a game-play designer from D3 or Destiny to get the loot system right from the start. Also, all of the levelling content is glitched, so people who have abused it are FAR, far more geared up than those who haven't meaning there is a huge imbalance in the player base. Casual players will leave because they can't compete and hardcore players / cheaters will leave because there isn't anything else to do. Massive had plenty of reference on how NOT to approach a game like this and it looks like they chose to ignore it and they're now struggling to make the game balanced / fair. I wanted the Division to be great and I have plenty of patience, but I can't see them coming back from this. Destiny has a strong player-base still because of the multi-player element of the game - the deathmatch is balanced and everyone can compete. They didn't want PVP in the Division but they actively encouraged it in the end by removing all penalties for people going Rogue in the DZ. So - in the DZ you effectively become forced to play PVP in a very unbalanced way. If they're going to encourage PVP they need to create another section of the game where people can do that on an even footing. The game is a mess tbh.
Beliall Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 i see your points, and explaining it to my brother last night made it sound incredibly boring,, but i'm still really enjoying it. i like solo'ing the DZ , sneaking about and grabbing loot, there's plenty of high end gear to be found on named enemies, and if i cant use it ill break it down and craft something. but the exploits have spoiled it for the rest of us
