Worry about the Spanish coming for him. If he leaves it'll be for la liga. Hopefully with CL football and a nice new contract (and maybe even the title!) we'll be able to hold on to him though

Keep our superstars level on pay, although in reality, with agents getting involved, that is unlikely. I would like to think if we win the league or even just with Champions league next year, Mahrez and Kante will stay too and sign new deals..

Extra sponsorship etc. We could sustainably offer new deals to all players and give the 12th man a fiver discount per game next season. Show Liverpool how to treat fans.

Nearly 2x for extending only one year seems like a fair compromise. yeah u could say rooneys 300k is a stretch but this is the premier league after all.

That does ring a bell actually now that you mention it... So France seems unlikely then, and I'm struggling to imagine Riyad in Germany at all, so if he did leave I imagine it'll be to Spain, so here's hoping that the transfer embargo remains for the Madrid clubs. On another note, while we definitely need to reward the players for this season (seeing as a bonus for winning the title *probably* wasn't in their contracts), we need to be careful not to overpay bumper contracts. We could quite easily slip back down into Stoke/Liverpool territory of about 6th-8th every season, and we don't want to be stuck paying massive wages like that whilst becoming the also-rans in midtable.

cjslcfc Posted 7 February 2016 Posted 7 February 2016 If we win the league, or even just get into the Champions League, then I'd assume pretty much most of the squad would get new deals, There's no way we can get away with not putting the players who got us there on deals more worthy of a team playing in the Champions League. And we just have to do all we can to keep Mahrez and Kante.

Hes hinted he wouldnt mind finishing his career with City, so probably asked the club to come up with something. At 29, how many seasons in PL 3-5..?? Longer around and up for selection for the 1st team. Staying here he prolongs his career at city keeping also the connections Where if he leaves,1-3 seasons maybe then quickly pushed on. Mahrez as yet as made no such promises of loyalty, but has again hinted he is in no rush to go. EOS, with top 4 in the bag, he will automatically see more money, plus individual status gains.
