No one knows how many freebies have been given !

Jesus if we win the league these people should have streets named after them not people moaning at them about a situation that is beyond their control

Honestly I despair sometimes at the ease which people can so easily turn on good people doing a great job

Bloody sad

It isn't compulsory to love everything the owners do just because they've been good overall. It's perfectly valid to criticise someone for what you view to be a bad decision while praising them for other good decisions.

I don't know how this invalidates my opinion that it would be better to reduce the number of business deals with the money saved from getting rid of these give-aways. You'll have to give an explanation.

To be honest I'd sooner see safe standing and no boxes

So we are on the same page

I was simply pointing out this situation with hospitality isn't new it's been all season

So explain to me what Top has done wrong ? And validate it by an example elsewhere that shows it was wrong

lol

I'll check back in morning ;)

They are 1000% beyond reproach

The ticket and business manager are the true subjects of your ire

Not poor Top

He is a monk FFS lol

Now I mediate for the night

ha I didn't mean it in a bad way. I meant as in people are throwing around terms like "all the tickets have gone to hospitality" and it's stupid. Some of those people are paying fans just like everyone else. Not all. But a fair few. And some freebies are a given. Are Barclays as the Premier League sponsor going to be entitled a large number of tickets to a potential trophy presentation match, yes. Are Premier League staff and officials going to be entitled to a large number, yes, obviously.

Some of these freebies will be totally out of the club's hands.

To be fair "hospitality" is a bit of general term too. A fair few in hospitality are longterm fans who just want to have a nice meal before the game. Totally different kettle of fish to freebies handed out to mates/business friends/"VIPs".

Looking forward to the Twitter reaction when DMU starts promoting its competition to win tickets!

Haha everyone making up @dmu.ac.uk email addresses or bribing students to enter for them.

It's a bit shit for those of us who live out of Leicester but who get to a steady 5 games a season. I was there in League One. I might not make another game for over a calendar year at this rate, not to mention my long harboured dream of buying a season ticket, which I was aiming to do next season regardless of our position, is in tatters. It's very sad but that's life I guess. The club have handled the membership issue terrible, especially continuing to sell silver memberships up until a few weeks ago which is really low, but they could never have foreseen this demand.

I can never be asked to post in here, but after todays fiasco I actually felt compelled to say something(for what its worth). I have a gold membership and was fortunate enough to obtain a ticket today, but it was by pure chance. I've purchased a ticket for every home fixture all season under the understanding that the gold membership was cast iron as it was capped. There's been no problem getting tickets for any game and absolutely no prior warning that the allocation would be changed at the last minute.

As luck had it I was off work, so as the website didn't seem to work I thought I'd do something I never do and drive in to pick it up. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and was in disbelief as they told me at the checkout that it was about to sell out!! when I queried the cap the lady at the checkout informed me it was first come first serve and "At least I've got mine." fine, but that's not the point.

I know other people with gold memberships that were at work and stood no chance and are now empty handed after paying full whack and using it all season. I actually feel physically gutted for all those who missed out today and have had this opportunity taken from them. At the most important moment in our clubs history people have been tricked by sleight of hand it doesn't sit right.

It's ok. Give it a few years and loads will have disappeared.

I heard there used to be an 11 year waiting list for a Man Utd season ticket. Now tickets go on general sale. :scarf:

I think the ticketing manager really needs to be held accountable

Keep trying buddy I'm sure season tickets will come up again soon

Great post.

Something not right with all this.

Great post.

Something not right with all this.

Something not right at all.

I was lucky enough to get two tickets yesterday, but I'm still really peeved about the experience. I can only imagine what it was like to not get tickets.

The website behaved in a way yesterday which I have not seen it behave in before. In the past when there's a mad rush it has been difficult to even sign in. Yesterday was no bother. What was completely unique was that once logged in the 'blue box' that said 'Everton' was greyed out. Not the seats. It was not possible to get from 'Everton' to the part where the stadium seats get loaded up. Perhaps more sinister is that the 'blue box' (the part you click on to upload the live seating plan) was blue and therefore clickable for a fraction of a second before greying out again. This to me indicates the the site was being blocked, a well known tactic which organised touts use. It was like this from 9am to 9:33am for me. Secondary ticket sites are currently selling tickets in choice stadium locations. I was trying to access the stadium seating plan from 9am. As soon as I could access it nearly all seats were gone and the only two I could get together were back row seats high in one of the corners. Something was not right yesterday. The only alternative I can think of if it was not touts jamming the site, is that the club restricted online access in order to cater for the real life queue outside the stadium. Understandable perhaps, but pretty crap for those of us fans who no longer live in Leicester.

Did I meet you in the queue yesterday?  Either way we were very lucky, they sold out just after us..

That's interesting and like you I feel deeply for those who cannot go.

I'm wondering though...have the club siphoned off tickets to dispose of in a more profitable way? Or is it a case of sponsor's/ individuals/employees  having entitlement to tickets as a part of their agreement/employment which in the past have mostly gone unclaimed.

After all, what we are witnessing at present, according to the bookies is as likely as Elvis being found alive, and here we are with the man himself back stage in our yard!

So I wonder if they've just been caught out.

I hope they've not done something underhand, maybe somebody knows the situation?

These touts bought Gold Memberships for LCFC at the start of the season did they?

In my opinion the tickets on sale on resale websites are either corporate tickets or ST holders/members who bought their ST or membership because they live locally and wanted to watch Premier League football but aren't particularly LCFC fans. They will be the ones trying to cash in.

The club has questions to answer and I hope - especially given they've generally been pretty good in the last few seasons - that these are answered quickly and honestly. Too many people seem to have missed out on the basis of numbers that have not changed since the start of the season, and something smells not quite right.

I take your point, but it might not hold up. I am a Gold member and I could not access the stadium seats for 33 minutes. It was impossible. Many Gold Fox members were reporting the same. Weren't there also complaints yesterday about members not being able to use all their Gold member references? Some touts have very sophisticated operations. They can block websites at the point of sale, whilst hoovering them up to sell on. If they are sophisticated enough to do that perhaps they could get their hands on membership reference numbers. The other explanation here is that I am an off my nut conspiracy theorist! Just trying to make sense of why the website did genuinely appear to be blocked in some way yesterday. It was totally different website behaviour to previous stampedes to get tickets. Many others report the same experience. And finally the moment I could access the stadium to choose seats there were literally hardly any left!

Posted

The club have already said "memberships aren't guaranteed a ticket" ... I still think that all gold members should have got a ticket at least, I also think something doesn't smell right. If I'd paid circa £100 for a membership this season and been able to get tickets for every home game I'd feel immensely peed off about not being able to go to the biggest game of them all.

Have they? Don't recall huge amounts of transparency for various away games in the past few years (Arsenal this year, Watford play-offs etc) where there's been a feeling individuals at the club haven't been playing with an entirely straight bat.
