Moksky Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 There isnt anything underhand, its been said before, player allocations and staff allocations have been taken up. nothing has been 'siphoned off' for more profit. The clubs owners have been more than generous this season in the freebies they've given out. If they really wanted to make more money on 2500 tickets or so, then why give , scarves, free food and drink, and free food vouchers during the season, clappers, etc. , etc. As for disposing of boxes in place of safe standing, thats laughable. People who pay for boxes pay for the season, regardless. When the team doesnt do so well they still have them and they are paid for. They dont take up much space and what are you supposed to do, when dignitaries of the opposition come along? I know boxes went up massively by 40%-45% in some instances when we were promoted. If standing is an option then bring back terraces where the Spion Kop stand is. People just have to get usd to the fact that what we are witnessing is a 'fairytale' , and not everyone can go. It is fact, and you cant hold the ticket office accountable. Sometimes demand outstrips supply, it is deeply saddening for those genuine fans who can't go. Some have to explain to their kids, they have to understand that sometimes in life you can't always get what you want Nobody killed Santa. Watch it on TV, have parties , go to pubs Nothing is going to change, if there are a few tickets released a little later then there may be a few more lucky ones. The club may review some of the points system for away matches, which I think they should, but it is impossible when people who cant make the game sell theirs to keep up their points. Ive been to any away matches Ive wanted thanks to this forum, mostly at Face Value. This is reality, we have to deal with it
Captain... Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Spurs went members so not tried hard enough, and Stoke and West Ham
Stevosevic Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Every game before this has reached Silver sale, as there isn't enough Gold members to sell the remaining tickets in the ground.....now it's sold out day 1 of Gold members sale. It's very fishy and disappointing from the club. I'm a silver member and have got tickets for any game I've wanted to this season. Looks like West Ham will be my last of the season.
FLAN Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Let's say you worked at the club and were entitled to say 5 tickets for friends and family. As someone who works there and this is a perk of the job would you think "no the real fans should have them" or would you take them? I am pretty sure a very small % would do the former... The only solution to this to be really fair is personal purchase with ID and the tickets not transferable. Then that excludes people who don't live close by so there really is no 100% effective way to do it is there?
chrisawhitmore Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I'm of the opinion that the club should set up a credit card for the purpose of buying touted (sold over face value) tickets. When they receive the ticket, they should cancel it for violation of terms and conditions, put a ban strike on the account of whoever bought it and resell the seat at original price. They could then use chargeback to reclaim the money they paid.
GaelicFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 The club have already said "memberships aren't guaranteed a ticket" ... I still think that all gold members should have got a ticket at least, I also think something doesn't smell right. If I'd paid circa £100 for a membership this season and been able to get tickets for every home game I'd feel immensely peed off about not being able to go to the biggest game of them all. No you didn't You paid for the "chance" to buy a ticket A season ticket was the only way to guarantee a ticket But I feel your pain and I hope you get one buddy

It's not fishy They used a large number of tickets for staff players and corporate partners Not fishy May not be fair But that's the ticketing managers decision I hope some become available for fans
GaelicFox Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Also just a quick point The club give 250 tickets away free or huge reduction on price to locals schools and clubs for the flag wavers When people are moaning about the corporate etc....they should balance that over the season that's nearly 5000 free local tickets to schools and clubs Including the Everton game
filbert5eat Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Did I meet you in the queue yesterday? Either way we were very lucky, they sold out just after us..

I still think that all gold members should have got a ticket at least, I also think something doesn't smell right. Why should all gold members be entitled to a ticket? They only stump up £80 or whatever it is to be ahead in the queue for remaining tickets, the only ones who are gauranteed tickets are STH. Not every gold has attended every game until now, that's why they've sold quickly, hardly rocket science. Also it's why anyone who is entitled to allocations has snapped up theirs too.

filbert5eat Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Hey there!! I think so as you mentioned somebody making a remark asking when the Champions League tickets go on sale on an earlier post which I just read. Seems you were right for being suspicious about the whole process then. It'll be interesting to see how many gold and family members didn't actually get tickets. They reckon it's only a tiny fraction!
Gerard Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 I can never be asked to post in here, but after todays fiasco I actually felt compelled to say something(for what its worth). I have a gold membership and was fortunate enough to obtain a ticket today, but it was by pure chance. I've purchased a ticket for every home fixture all season under the understanding that the gold membership was cast iron as it was capped. There's been no problem getting tickets for any game and absolutely no prior warning that the allocation would be changed at the last minute. As luck had it I was off work, so as the website didn't seem to work I thought I'd do something I never do and drive in to pick it up. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and was in disbelief as they told me at the checkout that it was about to sell out!! when I queried the cap the lady at the checkout informed me it was first come first serve and "At least I've got mine." fine, but that's not the point. I know other people with gold memberships that were at work and stood no chance and are now empty handed after paying full whack and using it all season. I actually feel physically gutted for all those who missed out today and have had this opportunity taken from them. At the most important moment in our clubs history people have been tricked by sleight of hand it doesn't sit right. I'm a gold member too, missed two home games all season because I had tickets for the Fury vs Klitschko fight as by chance the postponed bout and the rearranged one both happened at Leicester home games. In my ignorance I assumed the gold members were capped so we all had the chance to get a ticket. The only reason I'm a gold member as they wouldn't sell be a season ticket because of the 23,000 cap was filled. It's gutting I went away to Bury and Hull in the League Cup and was one of the 20 odd thousand who turned up for West Ham at home in the League Cup but there are people with tickets ahead of me,
Foxy1984 Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Opportunity for some pubs to put on some events with big screens maybe?

A lot of gold/silver members have paid more to go to the matches than you and other sth, maybe some got membership because they couldn't get a season ticket because they sold out, and have paid way over the odds to go to the games, but hey ho they don't count because they haven't got a season ticket.

It's not the point, I'm just saying that being a member does not give you the right to a gauranteed ticket otherwise where does it stop? City fox members? I'm aware if they attend every game they pay more than me but it's their choice, I stump up the full amount before a ball is kicked in August so commit myself, a member doesn't do that. Hence no guarantee of a match ticket.

RonnieTodger Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 It is bizarre the people have been allowed to purchase memberships just for these finals games. If they've done that and miss out on Everton, then they're probably getting what they deserve.

I doubt we will get to know how many Gold and family members did not get tickets.. they sold out before that queue behind us got to the desks.. so glad I went when I did.
Gerard Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 Any beautiful females with a spare ticket for the Everton match I'm willing to offer myself sexually for you in exchange for a ticket. Failing that anyone else with a spare I'm willing to buy, PM please.

promised land Posted 12 April 2016 Posted 12 April 2016 But you can't buy season tickets they've sold out Ok I'll bite as you want me too. They could buy season tickets when 10K empty seats were visible at every home game a few seasons ago.
