Gerard Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 You have absolutely no idea, probably about anything, but certainly not not about how much we would get if we sold the players you have listed. Go on then smart arse, enlighten me. Tell me what valuations I have wrong if you're so knowledgeable. Schwarzer - free Hamer - free Moore - 0.5m Benalouane - 3m inler - 2m Dyer - send back Ulloa - 5m
AyewJoking Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Our problem is you cant really improve on world class players like Mahrez, Kante. Schmeichel, Fuchs, Morgan, Huth, Simpson, Albrighton, Okazaki all playing at their peak. Drinkwater - exceptional, can only get better Vardy so essential and effective to the way we play. Amartey, Gray, signed with the future in mind. We're going to need some real quality signings to dislodge any of the current first eleven and there is still a question of would such players come to leicester?
Raw Dykes Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 I think it's mostly a case of improving strength in depth, rather than improving the first XI. I think we could probably do with an upgrade on one or two, but I'd be happy to keep the starting line-up the same for next season. I hope we carry on with the same transfer policy - going for mainly younger players and some with experience like Fuchs. It'll probably be more difficult now that we have a rep for digging up gems, but I can't see us forking out for big names, anyway. I'd go for a no.10/CAM, a young centre-half or RB (depending on where Amartey plays best), striker, CM and maybe a backup GK (depending on how good Iversen is).

Under current circumstances we have got to be one of the top 50 (at least) desirable teams to play for in the world.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 We would need more quality in the goalkeeping department, and that is just for starters. We have a great quality Premiership side, but when it comes to stepping up at this level, we would have to spend a few hundred million, to be serious contenders.
MC Prussian Posted 26 February 2016 Posted 26 February 2016 Where do you think we will get an experienced back up keeper who is happy to sit on the bench unless he's no better than we already have? 2 more midfielders? Who's place do they take? Kante? Drink? Or are they supposed to be happy sitting on the bench as well? And a winger and a striker? So your dropping Vardy and Mahrez? Or you want two more quality players sitting on the bench? Oh and you want places for Gray Jeff and Ben C as well? Either we are playing 16 a side or we are having a bench of 10 players all quality who are happy on the bench? All the players we need will be attracted to a club highly likely to play Champions League next season, as with the additional amount of games (even if it's just qualification games, you then still drop down to the Europa League), it never hurts having a couple of fresh pair of legs. When it comes to goalkeepers, that's maybe not the same story as it is with defenders, midfielders or strikers - the fatigue aspect is a different one entirely. So a new (older) backup keeper is not that much of a necessity. As others have already pointed out, rotation is key to keep people happy. Even right now, we can be glad that our fringe players and bench options have been happy enough to remain patient and silent and enjoy the ride from the sidelines. They'll all be eager to impress in case we qualify for the Champions League (or Europa League).
polarbear Posted 27 February 2016 Posted 27 February 2016 You be bored. You're biased. Come on guys we aren't going to play the same style in the champs league next year in every game - there will be a need in those games to be controlled and slow things down. See the bigger picture inler and poss benny and kramaric could be useful
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 3 March 2016 Posted 3 March 2016 I personally think we need to strengthen a lot with several first team players coming in & a lot of money being spent. I would go for: Valdes (back up for schmeichael) Arias (improvement at right back) Dragovic/Dann (improve centre back department) Xhaka (massive improvement at centre mid) Carrillo (gives us more creativity) Ziyech (gives us more options in creativity down the middle) Musa (Gives us more raw pace up front) Aboubakar/Traore (offers power & height up front) Sell: Schwarzer (retire) De Laet Moore James Dyer (return from his loan) Kramaric I can only dream ay!
