4everfox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 My point here still stands. Filth. Hinterreger signed for Gladbach in January so that isn't happening and Schmeichel hardly needs replacing does he? He's just entering the years where he will be in his prime.
sylofox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 As I was saying this time last year we will stay up (got slagged and laughed at lol) We will make CL.
TJB-fox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Probably about 5/6 players needed, with all of them being first team quality not squad purchases! Right back Centre back Centre mid Winger Striker Then maybe even another striker or goalkeeper
FireFox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 A class keeper who can challenege Kasper for first place is a must. If Kasper gets injured we are fvcked.
Ric Flair Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 A class keeper who can challenege Kasper for first place is a must. If Kasper gets injured we are fvcked. It's very difficult to get a class established goalie to basically start as 2nd choice. I'd take a punt on Jordan Pickford but he'd cost quite a bit of wedge.
Great Boos Up Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 I'm convinced we will sneak across the line to top 3 Champions League with what we have; and I will LOVE IT! Five or six replacement first team players is bit excessive. We're Leicester! I don't see Chelski, Pool and Manure lying down next year. I'd prefer to see an improved squad to keep top 10 in the league and enjoy Europe.
themightyfin Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Remember 5,000/1 to win the league? What odds on us winning champions league in 2016-17? Get your fivers on!
Fez of Mahrez Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 nah id pay possibly all my life savings to go to the nou camp and see jeff schlupp try and defend against messi I'd pay more than a fiver.
ScouseFox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 I'd pay more than a fiver. they're actually NIL atm so jokes on you edit - and me tbf
Ross-Kemp Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 If we win the league, don't we go in pot 1?
CosbehFox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 TBF if you put Spurs Man City or Arsenal in Pot 4 I'd be pretty surprised it they didn't do very poorly. I didn't realise you'd get pot 1 for winning the league and if we manage that then yeah a decent draw could see us do ok, but in pot 4, good night Vienna, we aren't beating Juve or Real anytime soon. I take the point you said at the end but the new seedlings mean pot 1 is champions of the top 7 ranked leagues. You might get lucky and ended up with the Russian champions. Pot 2 is going to be really clustered with the top traditional names.
sylofox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 I'd take 1-1 at Nou Camp all day long, let's see Neymar try any of that fancy shit on a February evening in Leicester. Minimum semi. I'd take finishing this season and being in the competition before worrying about next fvcming season.
Guest Col city fan Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 It's a difficult one if we finish 3rd or 4th, I'd be loathed to go and wax millions on players just for us to not even get into the group stage and therefore probably not need. at Col's Inler comment especially given the team he referenced as a difficult game lol What's funny? Napoli let Inler go because he wasn't good enough anymore. And Napoli away would be a very difficult game? Don't get ya?
st albans fox Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 If we win the league, don't we go in pot 1? Yes we do so if anyone is desperate to see us play at barca or madrid or Munich or Turin, then if we win the PL we have to get to the last 16 to get to one of these places! Imagine being in a group with Villarreal, hertha Berlin and nice and not getting through. What an ante climax that would be! On second thoughts, I'll take it
Ross-Kemp Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 We could get one of Barca / Madrid as they would be pot 2
Koke Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 My point here still stands. Filth. Alternatively we could also try Davy Propper and Hakim Ziyech.
Wymsey Posted 24 February 2016 Posted 24 February 2016 Going to put myself on the line. Rather we attempt to try to win the FA Cup/League Cup, as the CL is unknown for us. Though obviously be great to experience against top foreign teams instead of getting them in friendlies.
Dan Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 I'm struggling to come to terms with the very realistic possibility of Leicester City being in a higher Champions League pot than Real Madrid.
ozleicester Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 Need some young and hungry players, and no one getting more than 30k per week!
mhs123 Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 We need a Perez a Gonzalez and a Comacho and we'd be proper continental, the names on the trophy.
st albans fox Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 I'm struggling to come to terms with the very realistic possibility of Leicester City being in a higher Champions League pot than Real Madrid. good point - yes Real Madrid would be in pot 2 so we would have a one in 8 chance of drawing them. all the other BIG sides will be in pot 1 as they will win their leagues.
Ross-Kemp Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 So it could be: Leicester Real Madrid Inter Milan Wolfsburg Or Leicester Bayer Leverkusen Olympiacos Astana (Based on this seasons pots)
foxes161 Posted 25 February 2016 Posted 25 February 2016 Ideally need some who have some champions league experience as well. Will be important.
