People taking the piss when they see me in a shirt, this season or a 20 year old shirt claim I am jumping on the bandwagon even though these comments are from people who are in the main "plastic" big team followers who I never see in their colour. Fvcks me right off but I also pray we win it because I will get great joy at payback to these people and even friends who for years have taken the piss out of me for following a team like Leicester.

Hopefully it is "our" time and we have then earned the right through following loyally our team, good, bad or indifferent through the yo yo effect of up and down 3 divisions to be arrogant and give it back to those DH's who question if we are "bandwaggoners / Johhny come lately's"

Call me mad but I want it to be over now. I can't hack not knowing if we'll win the league.

I'm from Germany and learned about your Club during last summer. That was because Fuchs and Okasaki from our Bundesliga made it to Leicester.

Than saw the first complete matches beginning with the match at Everton.

Therefor it's the opposite wish. For me it could not last long enough. The best match for me was against West Brom at home. But I agree in one thing: Leicester should win the League.

I'm improving my knowledge of some of the more... colorful... English slang/insults.  Words/phrases that aren't used in the states.

bellend -- "What is that?"  Searching...  Ahhh.

window licker -- As above.

etc, etc.

For the last game of the season against Chelsea, I'll be on my stag do in Portugal. Could go 1 or 2 ways, it could be a major party and celebration, even more so than what I'm intending my stag do to be, or i could be a miserable c*nt for the weekend if results don't go our way!

I wish this season would last forever (although it's becoming increasingly difficult to watch the games). I'm a life long fox living and surrounded by jealous lfc,efc and mufc fans. Pretty much they are all rooting for us now, Monday mornings are great, I walk into work with a swagger and I just end up talking about footy all day. Watching us now reminds me of a big England game, it's quite an emotional roller coaster.

Good luck foxes, a small part of the the Wirral will be shouting for every goal, save etc.

I'm enjoying the ride, but must admit I won't be sorry when it's time to get off (with trophy and/or champions league)

This happened to us the other day when we were watching the Watford match.

My dad, brother, a few mates and I went to one of the local pubs which we've been to over the last many years, and obviously when Riyad scored, we went nuts. This led to some guy coming down to our table and sneeringly asking how long we'd been Leicester fans, before he went off to the bathroom. My dad, who is a fairly quiet man, has a bad knee at the minute, and he was relatively subdued because of the pain, but that guy riled him up big time. He proceeded to follow him and was gone for a good two minutes.

He came back to a round of applause from everyone at our table, before we all started belting out the generic "We were here when we were shit". The other guy then came back from the bathroom and apologised to each of us personally before he crawled off.

100% true story. It was funny as fuk.

Great story.

I'm constantly cycling in my head between:

"Oh my god, what if we actually win the league? What if we win it with a game to spare. How amazing would that be?"

then

"Don't be ridiculous. We're Leicester. We don't win the Premier League. That's for the big clubs. Yes we've done well, but we'll crack, and finish 3rd or 4th. But that's ok, it's still a great season"

and then back to :

"Oh my god, what if we actually win the league? What if we win it with a game to spare. How amazing would that be?"

...

It's this for me exactly.... except it is now out loud rather than just in my head!

Played golf today with Chelsea, Liverpool and West Ham fans. Throughout the entire round the conversation was mostly about football and mainly about Leicester. I played crap and kept losing concentration as I was day dreaming about us winning the league. Even when I'm trying to switch off from thinking about Leicester, it's still always about Leicester - I can't get away from it. My playing partners were massively complementary about us and all genuinely wanted us to win in instead of Spurs or Arsenal. A very humbling and proud four hours on the course even though I lost the match and the money lol

I'd like to disagree but as Mark Twain said; Never argue with stupid people, they will only drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience" ;)

I love posters posting quotes because there is always a better quote. :fishing:

My first post on this forum, and I am writing this from Glenfield hospital, having suffered a heart attack yesterday,

I am 59 pretty ,fit, or so i thought. Being a season ticket holder and watching most away matches on TV or streaming, maybe this most amazing season has caught up on me without me realising. Thing is there are two city fans including another season ticket holder adjacent to where I am and we are all saying the same! What I am really gutted about is missing the match on Monday. Now that is heart breaking....

I work with Arsenal and Spurs season ticket holders. The Spurs fan is our CEO we dont talk about anything else. At home it has also engulfed the wife who is now equally fasinated by what is happening. It has taken over and determines my moods at weekends. After the Arsenal defeat I felt alone in my despair especially as I was in the Arsenal end and was man handled when they got that winner. Then Norwich and Watford has once again changed my outlook.

I keep having this fantasy that we are waiting for the final whistle at home v Everton, we are winning the ref blows and I start to blubber like a baby. We are prem champions. This is bigger than life itself and finishing second would now be a massive dissapointment.

And I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent :)

Get well soon, mate!

I was in there myself a couple of months ago (Clinical Decisions Unit, Ward 29?) - due to a heart arrhythmia, and I'm younger than you.

If there's a surge in admissions in Leicester that isn't replicated nationwide, we'll know what's happening!

Nice grub, people looking after you. I quite enjoyed it, to be honest. Relax so you're ready for the run-in!  :D

I always liked the quote "the object of playing golf is to play the least amount of golf"

lol Yeah, that's nuts when you think about it!!
