Alf Bentley Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 It's crazy; you could make an argument for any one of the 3 to be the one to avoid the drop. Here's their run-ins: Norwich Newcastle Sunderland Sunderland(h) Newcastle (a) Newcastle (h) Norwich (a) West Brom (h) Palace (a) Southampton (a) Leicester (h) Sunderland (h) Swansea (h) Norwich (a) Arsenal (a) Man City (h) Arsenal (h) Liverpool (a) Stoke (a) Man Utd (h) Palace (h) Chelsea (h) Watford (h) Villa (a) Everton (h) Everton (a) Spurs (h) Watford (a) If I was pushed I'd say Norwich will scrape it but that will obviously depend massively on their home games against the other 2. Looking at those fixtures, I can see all 3 teams getting another 7 points, at least, which means Palace need 1-2 more wins not to be drawn into serious trouble. Watched the Tyne-Wear derby yesterday and thought Sunderland looked much the better side for 90% of the game, but completely bottled it and dropped back in the last 15 mins. Rafa's got a job on his hands as Newcastle look toothless up front. Everton (!), Bournemouth, Watford & Swansea are almost safe now (1 more result). Too close to call between Newcastle, Sunderland, Norwich & Palace for the last 2 relegation slots.
RowlattsFox Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 I think Sunderland are the 'best' team out of the bottom sides but struggle to win games, often conceding late goals. Recipe for relegation. If results go against palace in the next round of fixtures then they are right in it.
AKCJ Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Villa and Newcastle aside, the rest look "too good" to go down.
Dan Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Funny that because I'd say yet again crap sides will stay up due to be out-crapped by Villa, Newcastle etc... I think Norwich might actually do it. They're starting to defend well.
RobHawk Posted 21 March 2016 Posted 21 March 2016 Norwich have been similar to us last year for a lot of the season, playing well but not getting results. Goals is there problem but i hope they can do it and send the North East down with the Villa!
Super_horns Posted 22 March 2016 Posted 22 March 2016 We ought to be ok and have Villa/Sunderland at home and West Brom/Norwich away so will be hoping to pick up good points there but we aren't playing that well ATM. I think Norwich have it in their own hands with the 2 North East clubs and Palace to come in their last 3 games.

Tuna Posted 22 March 2016 Posted 22 March 2016 Newcastle and Norwich will go down with Villa. Both cannot score goals. Jerome/Bamford is a joke strikeforce and Newcastle, well there is Mitrovic who may be decent in 2 -3 years, Doumbia who looks like he's 65 years old and some other crappos who have never done it and never will.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 23 March 2016 Posted 23 March 2016 Yeah I think Sunderland will be the ones who manage to stay up from the four. Superhorns you have absolutely nothing to bloody worry about,
