Foxbythesea Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Down at the opposite end of the table, they're are many teams in the relegation battle. What teams would you say are in ithe battle and who would you say will be in the championship next year. I would say Villa, Norwich, Newcastle, Sunderland, Crystal Palace and Swansea. And would you say Watford and Bournmouth are safe yet?
Charl91 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Villa aren't in a relegation battle - they're pretty much relegated already Would say it's between Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich now, for 2 places.
theessexfox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Watford, Bournemouth, Palace and Swansea are all safe.
FireFox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Would be crazy if all 3 promoted teams stay up. I'm hoping for it because it would be great for both Sunderland and Newcastle to go down... with Boro coming up!
AKCJ Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Watching the game on now and Swansea have been utter wank.
DB11 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Watching the game on now and Swansea have been utter wank. Quality of opposition can bring you down to their level
ScouseFox Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 tbh when you think about the relegation battle and the teams in the bottom half you can see why "the big 6" or whatever they are want to form a breakaway league. one season we've been good and i'm already upset we have to soil our reputation by going to places like crystal palace or swansea. just relegate the lot.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Watford, Bournemouth, Palace and Swansea are all safe. Doesn't look so much that way now, palace are in a battle with Newcastle playing Sunderland tomorrow... Swansea need to win tonight to get out the battle
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Villa are a laughing stock, still gets to me way we didn't beat them... but we never got out of reverse in that game though
Fox92 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Villa are down. I think Norwich will go along with one of Sunderland/Newcastle. (Hope it's Newcastle because I've got them to go down in a bet). Palace are in danger of getting dragged in though, especially when you consider their recent form and their upcoming fixtures.
Rincewind Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Villa were better in the first half. They need to win all remaining games to get 37 pts.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Villa....NINE points worse off than we were at the same stage last season. Their form suggests they'll not achieve 25 points by the season's end! I would be surprised if they achieved 17 points, they have a minus 36 GD as well... one of the worst PL teams ever
separator Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 I would be surprised if they achieved 17 points, they have a minus 36 GD as well... one of the worst PL teams everDerby must take that accolade, 11 points, seriously how shit were they.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Derby must take that accolade, 11 points, seriously how shit were they. Derby do , but villa will be up there...
Tuna Posted 19 March 2016 Posted 19 March 2016 Palace need to win one game and they are safe. Norwich, Newcastle and Villa for me. Don't think Newcastle will score enough, Sunderland have Defoe.
FireFox Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 Newcastle/Sunderland is massive tomorrow.A draw to help out Norwich. They can't let relegation break up the rivalry.
Carl the Llama Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 It's crazy; you could make an argument for any one of the 3 to be the one to avoid the drop. Here's their run-ins: Norwich Newcastle Sunderland Sunderland(h) Newcastle (a) Newcastle (h) Norwich (a) West Brom (h) Palace (a) Southampton (a) Leicester (h) Sunderland (h) Swansea (h) Norwich (a) Arsenal (a) Man City (h) Arsenal (h) Liverpool (a) Stoke (a) Man Utd (h) Palace (h) Chelsea (h) Watford (h) Villa (a) Everton (h) Everton (a) Spurs (h) Watford (a) If I was pushed I'd say Norwich will scrape it but that will obviously depend massively on their home games against the other 2.
Carl the Llama Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 Oh and Sunderland to win against Newcastle - they always win at St. James' Park.
Dan Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 I'm quite glad Norwich won earlier. I've found it ridiculous how many have spoken as if it's only Newcastle or Sunderland who can stay up from here.
