Dermot Gallagher has come out and backed moss on all the decisions apart from our penalty.

Also says totally down to moss as to whether ban is extended.

So expect vardy to be out for 2 games

Not a surprise is it. They're all corrupt.

Everybody has to talk about the game and their decisions, apart from the referee. Moss shouldn't even referee in the second tier, never mind the top tier, and it's not the first time I've said that.

Anybody see "The Shun" letters page today? Someone from darby, having a go at Vardy being short listed for player of the year!!

As much as I think this is a big concern I do like the way we can prove we are a team and not an individual. This is the time for others to step up and I have confidence in the squad as a whole. Leo was great yesterday and just maybe he can play the way he did when he first signed and send us off with a bang. Wouldn't it be great to stick yet another middle finger up to the doubting football world?

Leo has done well as a sub for the most part this season.

The problem is that Vardy is so integral to how we play. Even if you take his goals/assists out of it, he's vitally important. Without him, we have no out ball. Leo and Shinji don't have the pace to catch a ball over the top or pester defenders in the same way.

Heart is in my mouth over this!

Ban shman there are no issues from my perspective, Ulloa is proving himself, Shinji can do a job, we have the ability to do one touch football to break down the defence and Gray, Mahrez to pull off some silky moves and Schlupp and albrighton to track back and forward. We are going to smash them

Keith Hackett completely chucked Moss under the bus, 2 sides to everything, who cares what Gallagher says!

Playing Ulloa is fine but changes the way we play. No good playing long balls, midfield are going to have to do more work. We're still perfectly capable of winning any game.

Moss and Gallagher big buddies

I honestly think this could be a blessing (or two) in disguise.

Im sure being out for a game or two will give him a chance to recuperate and recover from all the games he's played and also give him a hunger to get back on the pitch and fire in some goals for the cause.

Also every other team seems to have us pegged as a two man team (Vardy-Mahrez) so hopefully this will cause the remaining teams we play to underestimate us as our other players step up, which Im sure they will. They did on Sunday.

So it might be a blessing that our top scorer and a player fundamental to how we play isn't available?

Oh dear.

Not sure if it has been mentioned, move mahrez central, switch albrighton and put gray in? He would provide the pace, and his control is pretty good. Play with Okazaki in the vardy role.

We're more then a one man team, mate. We managed to find ways to win games when he wasn't scoring didn't we?

Yes, but it's hardly a 'blessing' is it? Of course we can still win games without Vardy. But we've more chance of winning WITH Vardy.

Assume it would be a 3 game ban if reported? Could genuinely derail the dream

Didn't Vardy miss a couple of games mid season with a minor foot injury of some sort? When he was out you still played well and did fine from memory...? A 3 game ban would be very harsh...he has no track record (like Diego Costa and others) it would only be two at worst I would imagine and I doubt Moss will report it after his general display yesterday. 1 game should be the max he will get...

Possibly 'blessing' is the wrong word to use then, but I stand by my point.

Im sure Claudio and the lads have a plan B when our plan A isn't available, other teams don't crumble when they lose a key player and I doubt we will either.

It's no blessing of course. But we can make ourselves very threatening by switching to a 4-2-3-1 if necessary. Ulloa or Okazaki up top alone, Schlupp and Albrighton on each flank being direct and sticking crosses in, Mahrez behing the striker. Our very solid base would remain exactly how it is. We made a similar change against both West Brom and Norwich and it had is creating chances in a different way to the method we apply normally. He is a loss, but we have the tools to sustain it.

Mate, I think what you meant to say is that we can find a way to play, to win without Vardy.

And I agree with you. We have done before, we can again.

Personally, I think it's a good thing we have Swansea next. I'd expect us to beat them even without the division's top goal scorer in our side. But I do hope it doesn't become a longer ban.

Utd away is made for Vardy and the counter attack.

Posted

At least Swansea won't know what team we are going to play ! ......    unlike the previous I don't know how many games ...     :)

(Glass half full).

I think Moss will see sense at last and not take it further. In any case Kante will beat Swansea on his own. Okazaki really has to step up in these last 4 games.

Posted

We were essentially without jv over Christmas when he was clearly unfit & we had a serious wobble. Without him in the team I'd fear a repeat.

Swansea best we can hope for is a draw, we've been getting through games despite playing badly mainly because of jv. Honestly feel that every game he's out for will reduce our chances of winning a match to 25%.

He gets that extra ban I think it's all over.

Spurs will most likely win all their remaining matches cannot see anything other than a win for them tonight.

**** me rigid lets forget the 8 point lead the team spirit and the remaining games lets just give spurs the trophy. Give the Samaritans a bell.

There's being positive and then there's being deluded.

Without Vardy we're seriously struggling for goals. Especially with Riyad going totally off the boil.

I'm just getting the rope out the shed to make the noose with.

Talk about glass half bloody empty!

So does anyone know if it actually boils down to whether or not the referee reports Vardy for his abusive language, or could the FA take action even if the referee did not report it?
