MC Prussian Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 That could just be a poor job by the picture editor? Or could it relate to a wider story - my German isn't up to scratch I'm afraid? Probably poor research by both the writer and the picture editor. Although I blame the writer mostly. He's the one claiming that Vardy was "angry at the ref and showed his middle finger towards Moss as he was walking off the pitch". Seriously, that's simply made up. Am I correct?

That explains the picture then - the picture editor actually did a good job as he found the picture to back up the story!
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 This thread is unbelievable I actually thought I was reading a woman's magazine for a minute
ARM1968 Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Sky are just following on from their blatantly biased commentators yesterday. They were gagging all match for an upset, for the fairytale to be slain, for West Ham to drive a huge hole through our hopes. Even the BBC commentators on MOTD2 showed clear bias and the punching above their weight opening was illuminating to say the least. As much as everyone claims the monopoly of the big clubs is boring and needs to end, it is only lip service. They don't mean it at all. Just look at the articles and revelations that have come out in the last few weeks - they haven't derailed us as designed. The constant media pressure and mentions of this exact scenario in the 60's is all designed to eat into player confidence. Anyone who thinks there isn't at least a snobbish conspiracy against us needs to wise up. Whether it is more than that I don't know, but Moss was so blatantly poor yesterday it was almost beyond belief. Certainly everyone knows Vardy is the fulcrum around which our team turns. So Vardy it is who gets sent off, how strange when others were equally deserving. I doubt this will be the end of it. There will be more to come. I just hope that as with Jamie's record, our winning the title is written in the stars.
SpinneyHillRanger Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Moss was just trying to show he isn't affected by the 'little Leicester will win the league' hype, or Leicester are getting favourable decisions with hand balls etc. Also showing he wasn't a homer... But just went too far with it the other way, in the end he realised his mistakes and gifted the schlupp penalty to even things up. Terrible method of refereeing an important game. He seemed very unfit too - huffing and puffing trying to keep up with the pace of the game, there definitely need to be a review process to assess referees performances. He would fail on account of his fitness alone. Shame as he ruined what could have been a great game.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 How about a perfectly normal pair of specs from Specsavers?
DennisNedry Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 If Vardy is out for 3 games my confidence in us winning the league goes to about 50/50. We will really really struggle to score without him (and Riyad not firing recently).
Fox 4 Life Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Anyone know when we would hear about this? Assume it would be an FA charge initially?

We will really really struggle to score without him (and Riyad not firing recently). If vardy gets a ban I'm getting on spurs to win the thing at 3/1. Would mean a drastic change in the way we play and it maybe just to late in the season for us to do that. Have full faith we can beat swansea without him, but would want him in the side for Utd and Everton.
Grey Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Hopefully the ref will bare this in mind when submitting his report: Ex-referees' chief Keith Hackett says Jamie Vardy should not have been sent off. “We’re all human, we all make mistakes but once we make a mistake in a game what we have to do is park it. The error here with Vardy’s red card was as much about the first yellow which for me was a total mistake, it was a careless challenge at worst, it certainly wasn’t reckless. “The second one has to be judged on its own merit and when it comes to acts of simulation the referee's got to be 100%. There’s got to be no level of doubt because you’re actually publicly saying that this player is a cheat when you caution someone for simulation. “Now I think if he’d just literally shouted play on then he would have got away with it because there is a element of doubt, there’s no doubt there was exaggeration in the fall but there was also the possibility of contact. In my view it wasn’t 100% an act of simulation therefore he should have backed off and just gone through it.” http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/35720533?ns_mchannel=social&ns_source=twitter&ns_campaign=bbc_live&ns_linkname=5714bafa2f0000b27b165748%26%27Vardy%20should%20not%20have%20been%20sent%20off%27%26&ns_fee=0#post_5714bafa2f0000b27b165748

Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Wouldn't be surprised if we play Mahrez behind Okazaki or Ulloa

We will really really struggle to score without him (and Riyad not firing recently). As much as I think this is a big concern I do like the way we can prove we are a team and not an individual. This is the time for others to step up and I have confidence in the squad as a whole. Leo was great yesterday and just maybe he can play the way he did when he first signed and send us off with a bang. Wouldn't it be great to stick yet another middle finger up to the doubting football world?
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 It's a good job that the players have got more courage and conviction than Foxestslk
Tuna Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 We were essentially without jv over Christmas when he was clearly unfit & we had a serious wobble. Without him in the team I'd fear a repeat. Swansea best we can hope for is a draw, we've been getting through games despite playing badly mainly because of jv. Honestly feel that every game he's out for will reduce our chances of winning a match to 25%. He gets that extra ban I think it's all over. Spurs will most likely win all their remaining matches cannot see anything other than a win for them tonight.
MiniFox Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 Why are people still saying 3 game ban, Costa's was arguably worse and he got a 1 extra game ban, why would Vardy get 2? We don't know yet but I see no reason why he would get a 2 game ban on top instead of 1.

Fox 4 Life Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 It would realistically be 2 games if anything. SSN said they have until close of business tomorrow to charge him
les-tah Posted 18 April 2016 Posted 18 April 2016 if he appealed it would it run past the end of season do we think?
