A longer suspension for Vardy - Charged by the FA

I think people are forgetting that Vardy went 6 games without scoring recently and we picked up 16 of a possible 18 points. We can win games without him, not saying it will be easy but it's doable.

The no appeal for 2 yellows is absurd isn't it? If ref makes one appalling decision and gives a red, you can appeal. If he makes 2 appalling decisions then you can't?

Two wrong make a right or some weird logic.

Even when he doesn't score though he sets up passes for others to score goals and draws attention and creates space. It's a big loss.

Exactly this. We are fine.

How anyone can trash any player on our team right now is beyond me. Some shit fans on here today. Off to bed for me now. Too many fighting cock leicester hater inbred impersonators on here today. At least the cocks back their team.

And Ulloa doesn't?! He might not have his pace, but he has more assists per 90 and creates loads of space, especially on set plays.

Remember when shearer balantantly kicked Lennon in the face back at filbert street and didn't get sent off, when the was talk of a suspension he played the England card and that was that

I do remember that. And his was definitely a red. Vards only saying what 28500 of us were thinking!

Good under pressure too......that was a massive pressure situation for the penalty, absolutely no way back into the game if he'd missed

I think there is a difference between what Vardy and Costa did.

Here is the Costa incident: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35943318

Costa gets right into the refs face a few times.  Vardy on the other hand points and swears once, which all players normally do to every decision.  He doesn't get right up in his face.

Hopefully this will go in our favour:

Hopefully the ref doesn't allow himself to be influenced by yesterdays social media storm and just files a normal report.

No one mentioned anything about Vardy's conduct (after the sending off) as it happened.  Not like they did with the way Costa reacted.  This was all blown up after the event by people desperate to see us not win the league.

The fact that he shouldn't have been sent off in the first place (the first yellow was immensely soft even if it was thought that he dived for the second) notwithstanding, I've always loathed the idea of players getting into refs faces even when they do make shite decisions, regardless of the team they play for. It's not showing PASSSHUN, it's being a tool.

And no one - no one - deserves to be called a "fvcking cvnt", apart from certain members of the Murdoch family of course. I really hope Vards doesn't get an extended ban for this, but we'll have to wait and see.

Mic the refs up, any player picked up swearing at the ref walks and/or is given three match retrospective ban when the recording is listened to after the match. It would probably result in a slew of suspensions to begin with, but people would get the idea quick.

The only punishment referees get for ruining games is verbal abuse. They don't get sacked, they don't get fined, they don't get demoted or dropped. Nothing bad happens to them at all whilst other people's dreams are smashed.

Being sworn at is the least they deserve.

It's almost like the London media are printing stories in their paper to brew up a storm over something that happens every game so Vardy gets a longer ban.

But I'm sure they wouldn't stoop to such depths.

Nothing to do with the fact it was the biggest talking point of yesterday's sporting action then? As evidenced by the multiple threads / comments on here I just a few hours?

Of course if you look for a conspiracy you'll find one, because no one will tell you that it is one - but that's what they want you to think!

Can't be a good thing that Vardy's pointing finger is splashed across the back pages this morning. I can see the FA calling him up on a charge now sadly.

The local rag "Blick" has come up with a heinous photo montage - using an older picture from a previous game:

I can't recall Vardy showing Moss the middle finger - all I could make out is that he was pointing at the referee shortly after the red card was brandished.

The middle finger incident was ages ago.

Looks pretty certain he will get a further ban, hopefully the FA take into account the refs performance.

Ffs.

Given the baffling circumstances around the first yellow card, and then the second I doubt he'll get an extended ban.

Personally I think we won't bother appealing and he'll just be out for the Swansea game.

Not me fella - you do bear a grudge don't you? I believe you were one of those who used to get his knickers in a twist because some Leicester fans felt Pearsons ropy 20 match run was unacceptable way back when and that we all had delusions of grandeur...... Vardy cocked up playing for a pen and then gobbing off - I still think we'll be alright as we now have a tactically astute manager.

So because the oversight for refs is (in your opinion and possibly true, though I wouldn't be certain on that) incompetent, everyone has the right to give them dogs abuse by way of judgement instead, despite never having been in the same situation themselves?

Nah, not buying that. Maybe I'm too soft hearted in that respect. There are far many more professions much more deserving of that type of treatment.

He's got a poppy on his shirt which shows how long ago that was.  This is a typical media witch hunt.  They won't be happy until they have caused the maximum damage.
