fuchsntf Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 Spurs will keep their players, Kane, Ali not one season wonders and they buy well.Top 2 Liverpool, IMO with Klopp will do better than Man.city. Top 4 Arsenal...same same, unless they buy a couple of top quality " out of the box" players. Man.city.I reckon even with Pep they might still struggle for top 3. Manutd..Need to find at least 4 class players. Westham/Southampton/Leicester to cause more havoc and excell. Any of these 3 could nip into top 3. IF/WHEN we win the title, Ranieri will see we get some top class additions. Chelsea for me is the real unknown, even if they spend big. Around the world, I think that there is a slump of superstars that are available. They are still there, but not so available.
Izzy Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 there are dark forces at work trying to stop us winning it. if it was just a footy competition then i'm 110% sure man but after the weekend trust nobody. we should still do it but something ain't right, tellin ya. Too many spliffs dude. You're getting paranoid
Chrysalis Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 spurs look completely dominant, 8/1 is great odds, however they seem to suffer whilst also playing in europe, and there is the risk of manager or players been torn away, but I still think they a good bet. if origi stays fit liverpool are also a good bet, they are a very good team now under klopp.
STUHILL Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Spurs for me would be a great bet especially if they don't beat us to it this year as could see them having hangover year from winning it. Man City Spurs Arsenal LIverpool are my top 4 for next year Think Chelsea have picked wrong manager and are going through transition period similar to what Man U are. Leicester to finish in top 6 would be amazing and very doable if we hold on to Kante and Mahrez
gdl9050 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Man city Liverpool Arsenal Chelsea Man United Spurs
digitalalba Posted 22 April 2016 Author Posted 22 April 2016 why? Because there's no way Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and Man C will be as poor as this season, and it looks like we won't have the same team. I forgot Chelsea
Aeropars Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I do not buy these comments that Leicester will not be able to repeat the success of this year if we go on to win the title. Yes, other teams will supposedly improve over the summer but so will we. I expect an improvement jump that we have never seen before thanks to the massive difference in TV money, winnings and champions league revenue coupled with our outstanding scouting network. All of that simply has to result in Leicester City punching well above their previous weight.

They really do have a great young squad, there is no reason that their top young players will want to drift. City, however might need to try to pick n mix. It all depends how persuasive Ranieri can be to hold onto Marez and Kante. No reason after this years suprises, that a top 4 cant be realised. Its still the unknown of others that, gives us the doubt of another title challenge, hey fellas nobody expected this year, and they still havent worked us out...thats worth holding onto..!!
goose2010 Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 No idea why people think Chelsea will be top 4, Conte has one hell of a job to do, why would players go there? Who ever they get linked with Man City will also be linked with so they would choose City. It will be tougher next season as us and spurs being up there this year will cause a lot of chairman's to put their hands in their pockets. Our target next season should be enjoy the prem, and Europe show what we can do and go balls out for the FA cup. I would take 10th, FA Semi / Final Champs League anywhere depending on the group!

Would be nice just to have a season where we feel no pressure as fans! been too long!! Its going to be interesting as there will be a lot of fans that now expect this EVERY season! oh well might make it easier to get tickets!

Glad someone is still sane in this place! Can see it now losing 1-0 to Madrid away and this place kicking off like we have just lost to Millwall at home!
fuchsntf Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I am going to call out Thracian, to knock some sense into this thread... Life is about trying to improve, and ride the course to win, so long as you can. Why go on the pessimistic trail, when we have grounds to be optimistic. Sometimes one can go too far into humble bliss and innocence. Being scared of taking on higher expectations, cant and shouldnt be blunted, by past trials and tribulations of being a city supporter. Why continue being a 'grumpy young/old git'.
fuchsntf Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 My expectations and dreams as a fan, never change until it becomes impossible. A slide-rule of hope, that has come to fruitatation at least once in 60yrs, I will not put out the candle, now we have a good flame a burning. PL- 1st,...FA-cup winners, Now the big one..CL-winners (we are allowed 2 candles in this one). Adding the charity-shield, would mean we have been successfull this season.... Why bother before a ball is kicked to accept less. Its my right as a fan to hope and expect, but within I will be humble and accept there are other great teams who will rightly challenge those marvellous, magical dreams. This season has given and presented us that right to what we have earnt..... Rock on..
purpleronnie Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 Because there's no way Arsenal, Man U, Liverpool and Man C will be as poor as this season, and it looks like we won't have the same team. I forgot Chelsea Leicester might win the league...doubt any title winning team would have odds so low the following season. Even if we don't win it it's still about right given we have been top for so long. Bookies aren't stupid the odds seem pretty spot on to me.
treer Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 its actually punters who make the odds, not bookies. Bookmakers nowadays get a general idea of the odds from betfair, which are offered by punters They then use software, or an human odds complier, to alter the odds to suit them(the alteration is 999 times out 1000, detrimental to a bookies customer) Betfair actually charge the bookmakers for use of the prices
LCFCSOULBOY Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I already have my bet on with Paddy Power for us to win the Championship League. Think we go 50/1. $60.00 bet.
Munshi Posted 22 April 2016 Posted 22 April 2016 I already have my bet on with Paddy Power for us to win the Championship League. Think we go 50/1. $60.00 bet. We can't get relegated anymore pal
digitalalba Posted 3 May 2016 Author Posted 3 May 2016 Still 7th favourites, but are odds have been slashed from 44/1 to 28/1. Ray Parlour thinks we'd be happy with 4th bottom People are already getting thousands to one on Bournemouth, West Brom, Watford and Swansea. I would imagine the bookies won't be so keen on offering 5,000/1 on the 3 that come up.
