AKCJ Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Sitting in Local Hero across from King Power stadium. 3 premier league matches on. Why are none of them on tv? Because none of them are shown on UK channels?
Unabomber Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ok, what does 3 o'clock kick off mean? means the game kicks off at 3 o'clock I think
Alf Bentley Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 It's all going to kick off in here in a minute - and it's well past 3 o'clock.
Countryfox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 means the game kicks off at 3 o'clock I think I think you may be right Una ..... Tough one though .....
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Pretend it is on, Use your imagination, and watch it on a blank screen. The more you drink, the easier it is to do.
HEGGSY Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Ok, what does 3 o'clock kick off mean?It means that UK channels are prohibited from showing 3pm kick offs live on tv.It's been like that for years.
Baniff Posted 23 April 2016 Author Posted 23 April 2016 ok, is it the Peirmeir league that does not let a match be shown on UK tv, or is it Sky and BT that won't show them?
Baniff Posted 23 April 2016 Author Posted 23 April 2016 Thank you!, Heggsy, that's what I wanted to know.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 ok, is it the Peirmeir league that does not let a match be shown on UK tv, or is it Sky and BT that won't show them? Part of the standard agreement between the FA / Premier League / TV companies in an attempt to protect traditional 3 o'clock kick off attendances, especially at the lower levels. It's also because all the teams playing today are shit... They're not box office like we are!
marko Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 2:45 to 5:30 is a protected period when broadcasters aren't allowed to televise and football. Helps to ensure people still attend the games.
johnny the fox Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 2:45 to 5:30 is a protected period when broadcasters aren't allowed to televise and football. Helps to ensure people still attend the games. Mmmm.. don't work for villa..
Baniff Posted 23 April 2016 Author Posted 23 April 2016 Ahhhh.....that makes more sense, more people would stay home and watch the PL than attend lower league matches. Thanks for the insight!
Great Boos Up Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 means the game kicks off at 3 o'clock I think For a few seconds there, I thought you'd snuck back into the Leicester City Football Forum
Great Boos Up Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 It's also because all the teams playing today are shit... They're not box office like we are! Some of my beer just came out my nose!
