Will Loz Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I noticed lots of LCFC fans flooding Spurs thread abusing them and giving it the large one. No need for this lads, humility in defeat is the biggest attribute one could have. Yes I know this is football and everything goes but who says we have to be like the others? If we are going to be the unexpected winners we might as well behave unexpectedly football wise. There is a reason why people love Ranieri and it his attitude no arrogance or chest thumping. It would be nice for fans to mirror this and show the rest of the rival fans and of course our newly acquired fans around the world.

Haha it would be nice but we have our own fair share of bitter fans that will be sneering and being snide. It's usually the type of fans you see giving it the big one to away fans rather than concentrating on their own team.
Great Boos Up Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I'll try, but sometimes it's sooooo hard to smile and turn the other cheek.
The Railway Man Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I agree, no need to gloat. The reason so many want us to win is because of what tossers Spurs fans are.
Vacamion Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Stringer tweeted that it was noticeable and praiseworthy that none of the City players were on Twitter or Instagram giving it big licks, as the job ain't finished quite yet. For once, I agree with Stringer.

Balj Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 There is a job still to be done - this is like losing my virginity again but in slow mo!!
Bluetintedspecs Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Yes I agree, let's be better than them! Humility is the way, however, yes yes fkn yes our warriors are on the verge of making history
holyfox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Agree, players, manager and owners have showed class all season. We have on the whole too so lets stay true to who we are.
PhilFox1948 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 We can afford to be generous this season. We have had a lot of goodwill not only from the football world but the non-football world. I recently took a holiday in Asia, everybody seemed to know the players and recent history. During the Man City total strangers were wishing me and the team well. After the Palace game, at least five people stopped me outside Euston to say that hoped City would win the title. I hope the club can arrange banner to thank everyone for their good wishes. Well meant but also good PR. Our owners are very generous in spirit and money. Perhaps we can be horrible to some pundits as some deserve it. When final whistle goes against Everton let's all shake hands with everybody around us as we have played our part. Waited sixty years for this. Hope this doesn't sound to luvvy but my spirit has been lifted. Can't wait for Sunday then Everton.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I agree. As much as I hate Spurs and it's bitter fans, I also hate gloating on opposition forums. We are better than that.
RowlattsFox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 No need to log on to other forums but football is all about gloating when you're team does well. You take the rough with the smooth.

I'd have nothing against them if it weren't for the fact that we're lucky, doping, cheaters, who only win 1-0, everyone wants us to win the league so they are letting us win, and the fact that everyone plays their A game against Spurs, we should be dead worried next year as out fan base will be divided due to our success despite the fact we've had more instances of extreme circumstances dividing our fan base over the years than 90% of teams in England, and Spurs are generally the best team ever to exist. But as that's all I ever hear off them, fck em.
ARM1968 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Absolutely no need to abuse anyone - even Spurs fans. We haven't won it yet, but even if we do we should just be happy and proud.

weller-legend Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Oracle, Yesterday at 8:34 PM Remind me to check all posts on FoxesTalk at roughly 20:31 after the game please. This was on fighting-cock last night after they scored, hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

But stay classy like Ranieri and co.
Guest Mee-9 Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 Lets win it first. Then we can do whatever the hell we like.
Frost Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I agree, and we still need another 3 points - this is LCFC and more to the point this is football, anything can happen no matter how unlikely it seems. What I can't stand is the irritating comments from Spurs fans saying we've been lucky (refereeing decisions etc etc) or that we play unattractive football and don't deserve the title. I think they're forgetting that 1. We played some absolutely great football for long periods of this season, maybe not so much the last 10 games but at the end of the day we've propelled ourself into a position where we can win the league and they realistically can't, attractive football each week is great - if you're actually able to win the league doing so. Its a results business and maybe if Spurs were a bit more boring they'd be in a better position. 2. We don't have the same financial power, why do we have to pass every team off the park? They go about and spend nearly £30m on Lamela, of course they should have a team which is easier on the eye. Think they need to accept that if we win the league, we have because we deserve it. So proud to be a City fan right now.
smudgerfox Posted 26 April 2016 Posted 26 April 2016 I so agree with this... The Don and the players set a perfect example - they never gloat, they're never boastful, apart from the Vardy incident, they never blame the ref (and even then with considerable justification and in the heat of the moment), they never blame the opposition, they're magnanamous in victory and dignified in defeat... And the fans' approach has added, singing "we are staying up.." genuinely wins us affection - "Barcelona - we're coming for you.." absolutely priceless....there's a sense of proportion about us and a sense of a wider football world - where most chants and songs are insular, partial, essentially narcissistic...

So proud to be a City fan right now. Its the recent Swansea comments that are another thing that have really got to me. They lay down, did they really? It's funny because bearing in mind its 1st playing 14th at home bearing in mind we went to their place and handing them a 3-0 pasting there too, 4-0 seems pretty reasonable to me. But when Stoke play like retards on their own patch and they win 4-0 it's all down to Spurs being the new Brazil. OK lads, OK.
