stripeyfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 did, anyone have to actually sign for the tickets? I've just been notified some have mine have been delivered securely whilst I'm not there . so you put them through my letter box then, £6.50 was for what then, taking 4 days to arrive from when they got sent out? No, just got delivered with the rest of my mail at 3.15 in the afternoon!

Bayfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 i presume the tickets could have been tracked? and because they cost over a certain amount there must be some kind of insurance on them? the cost for delivery isn't just for whether it's signed for true, but they can be tracked for about £1.75, although as I have learnt, not all that successfully. Maybe it is to do with the value of the item, but normally, £6.50 means signed for as well. Because as it stands, there is nothing to prove I have show I have actually had them. So in theory I could make a claim they had gone missing. What prove do they have?
Babylon Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Don't bother with the travel card. They're a rip off brought by tourists. Just touch in and out of each station with your bank card. The maximum charge for one day is about £6.50 or something. We spent four days in London last year going here there and everywhere and used this method and our was only about £17 for both of us in total for the entire trip It's £9.30 max as you'll be going to zone 4 for Wembley. So easy now you can do it via debt / credit card.

If it should have been signed for, it either should have been left at a safe place, or with a neighbour or sent back to your local distribution centre. Where's @@Trav Le Bleu when you need him?!

Just make sure you don't forget to scan out. When I went Crystal Palace in March I must have forgot to scan out at a station or 2, because when I looked at my online banking I'd been charged over £17 for the day.
LCFC FOX Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 They charge you by just scanning your debit card when you just walk through?Decent that

Countesthorpe Fox 1884 Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Got an oyster card as well so most i'll pay for the two journeys from St Pancras and Wembley Park is £5.60, Happy days!!
Lcfc_lass10 Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 You going now Chloe? Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not Chloe
GavParket Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Am desperately after one season ticket reference, much appreciated in advance.
stripeyfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 They charge you by just scanning your debit card when you just walk through?Decent that Just make sure you tap out when you exit the station. IIRC, when you "tap in" at the first station, it automatically debits the maximum daily fare for that zone (£7 or something). When you "tap out" it calculates the cost of the jorney and adjusts the amount down. So if you don't tap out, you'll pay the full daily fare.
Bayfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Who's Emily then? Lcfc_Lass10 Who's chloe? anyone on here, used to use the North Star, Finchley Road on the way to Wembley for our play-off games back in the day, meant to be a bit run down now, but nostalgia makes me want to visit, used to be rammed with Leicester back in the day for the finals.

Chloe is actually a member on here with a similar username, and goes to FCC meetings with the club.
stripeyfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Really looking forward to this. Bring back memories of those 90's trips to Wembley. People stood on the motorway bridges waving us off and walking up Wembley Way. Only all without the pressure of needing a win. Totally relaxed day out. Marvellous

Who did the ticketing? I know that all Ticketmaster deliveries have to be signed for, plus they can't be left with a neighbour (or at least, they're not supposed to) which also applies to anything sent special delivery. If something goes missing in the post, the onus is on the sender (as it is them who paid for the service) and the usual missing item procedure is to get them to send a replacement whilst they claim against Royal Mail for the loss. @@Bayfox can't you get them to cancel your tickets and resend them? I think lots of ticket companies just send stuff standard post in the knowledge that if something goes missing, this is cheaper than recorded post. EDIT: not all tracked post needs to be signed for. Some items can be zapped and pushed through the letterbox, which means it could be misdelivered. One would hope that the person who received it in error would correct the mistake and pass it on. I think most people do, but there are plenty of knobheads out there.

How does returning from Wembley to st Pancras work do you just scan your debit card at Wembley station as well? What time are people thinking on leaving?
