FrankieADZ Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Most people got an email last Thursday to say the tickets have been despatched. That said, further down the same email it said, if your tickets haven't arrived 72 hrs before kick off ring this number? All I can say is they must be coming by snail mail. yeah, some got them friday/saturday and i guess most should get them this week, but given its royal mail we never know with these things

promised land Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 my tickets arrived today, not bad from see tickets tbh, wonder how many are left now... 4000 odd give or take as STH who aren't going.
stripeyfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 4000 odd give or take as STH who aren't going. I think the ST take up will be very high. Even those who can't go due to holidays will most likely use their allocation and sell/give to friends and family. Like you say though, should be 4K left. I don't know how many members there are in each tier, but probably more than 4K? I got mine on saturday. They emailed on thursday to say they had been dispatched Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk Mine not arrived yet, but then our postie rarely turns up before mid afternoon!

I think we might have more than 4k members but im not sure tbh, either way, will be a rush for them and i suspect you've got to be quick to get seats all together and i can imagine there will be loads of singles and that, mine arrived just after 12 and I live up near where King Edward was, royal snail for you

I live about 1/4 mile from the sorting office and the post is always late. Apart from on Saturday morning when you want a lie in and the postman is banging on the door at 7.15!
Countryfox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Mine arrived and I live in the middle of nowhere !!
LCFC FOX Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 I'm looking at going from Hinckley, but will probably get it to London Euston and then get the underground to Wembley Park. Think the train you're on about goes to North Wembley? that's the one yes goes to North Wembley, may have a look at London Euston then see if it's cheaper! Can you look at tram prices though?

Tbh don't think there will be much in it, but getting the underground from Euston would probably be a tad more expensive. Going to get a one day travel card for the underground but I think this includes bus and tram travel. It only costs about £12.50.

If you have a contactless bank card just use that it will save you a few quid

They're a rip off brought by tourists. Just touch in and out of each station with your bank card. The maximum charge for one day is about £6.50 or something. We spent four days in London last year going here there and everywhere and used this method and our was only about £17 for both of us in total for the entire trip

Best way around the smoke is the Oyster card, never pay more than the day rate and if you're travelling through a pink zone it's even better. Credit doesn't expire either, so whack a tenner on it and it will still be there next year.

GaelicFox Posted 11 July 2016 Posted 11 July 2016 Came today. The tickets , not me. I need to stop watching loose women !!
stripeyfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Thanks for the advice, might buy me an extra couple of pints with what I'll save, then again probably not Well you're not going to get rich on what you save, but it is certainly a lot easier. As Promised Land says, you need a contactless card but as long as you have one of them there's no reason not to use this method.
Filbertfan Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 There's a competition on the McDonalds website to win tickets if anyone's interested http://m.mcdonalds.co.uk/ukhome/Sport/Football/LetsPlay/community-shield-tickets-2016.html

Same things apply for oysters as they do for bank cards. Plus one less card to carry

Plus one less card to carry That's an option, my debit card is still the old type. Yep contactless works like an oyster. Only been in for a year or so hasn't it? Saying that oyster is only 10 years old or there abouts. Must've been a nightmare for London commuters 20 years ago on paper tickets.
Bayfox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 did, anyone have to actually sign for the tickets? I've just been notified some have mine have been delivered securely whilst I'm not there . so you put them through my letter box then, £6.50 was for what then, taking 4 days to arrive from when they got sent out?
