Itsthejoeker Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Your chance to get your hands on a glorious piece of art! One of a kind whiteboard pen sketch on a napkin of Claudio Ranieri, commissioned by the man himself to become the worlds most iconic image! Drawn by Andy Warhol (not the actual one, massive coincidence)
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Schmeichel looks like Lord Petyr Baelish in one incarnation and Connor McGregor in another. Huth looks like Murray the skull from Monkey Island. Okazaki looks like some vaguely Asian-looking bloke. Vardy looks like his reflection at a fairground hall of mirrors. Ranieri looks like Harry Lamb but then again there's a bit of a resemblance in real life so I'll let you off there. All in all you couldn't pay me £200 to take this shite mate, it's an abomination and a cheap (or not apparently) attempt at cashing in on Leicester's success. I wouldn't put it on my fridge if one of my kids brought it home. In fact they'd be grounded if they brought that mess back.
promised land Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 ... To all the doubters ... I acquired a couple of very high quality giclee prints some years ago, one in particular signed by the artist that I had framed in quite an expensive oak contempary frame and I have been astounded at the rise in value. On the same thread, I have two original and stunning waxed oil pictures; again framed and signed by the very talented artist that are, relative to when I purchased them 'exactly' the same value today!!! Pay your money and takes your chance as they say, but at least you have 'something' to show for your brass!!!? Any decent giclee print would be signed and numbered by the artist anyway, I collect art and prints on the whole never go up in value, I'm talking about your top contempary artists too, Todd White, Fabian Perez, Sheree Valentine Daines etc. You can pay over a grand for a print by these and it won't increase in value, originals don't go up by a lot either. Also what does go up can come down if interest in a particular artist drops, add into the fact any artist worth their salt would be signed up to one of the big publishing houses and have their work in the high street galleries, Castle, Whitewall etc.
indierich06 Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 £199 for this beautiful painting of one of the pivotal moments in the club's preseason. PM for details.
weller54 Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Kasper looks like Duncan Norville... Chase me! Chase me!!
Renart Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 While looking at the ebay listing, I spotted the following and was wondering if is authentic -> http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEICESTER-CITY-SIGNED-2016-shirt-100-genuine-With-Certificate/182142723367 If it is authentic then that's a bargain. It absolutely cannot be. Everyone is trying to cash in on the success. I am cautious of everything at present.
purpleronnie Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 It absolutely cannot be. Everyone is trying to cash in on the success. I am cautious of everything at present. And he just happens to have a fully signed arsenal top , man city top, liverpool top, chelsea top...
Renart Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 Just as a point of accuracy - it would appear that you have next season's Premier League badge on this year's shirt - I think. See Wes Morgan's arm. Other than that I cannot fault the picture and the accurate representations and imaginings of the team, the coach, the Premier League trophy and the flying-saucer that they all live in and which delivers them to the ground for every game.
Out Foxed Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 awful and i'm not one to be negative. but the fact you're selling it at that price is hilarious.
The Guvnor Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 This has to be the most unfortunate post since 'My mates the ref'

I have been disappointed with my acquisitions from a Cambridge artist, who's work is absolutely beautiful but the value of which has stagnated or even declined, perhaps because as you point out her value hasn't been recognised as 'worth her salt' yet (perhaps never will, which is a shame but that's life!) ... but I love them all the same and that's why I bought them!
ithuriel Posted 23 May 2016 Posted 23 May 2016 That one a few weeks ago was, nightmarish, these just creased me up, needed a good laugh
