I don't mean with release clauses but more in general, when a player is linked with a move away the value thats put on them seems low in comparison to other clubs player. It might just be the media under valuing our players but I can't help but think that those numbers must have some basis.

It's in the players interest to have a lower valuation so they can get a better deal from the next club.

Vardy still had what, 2 years left on his contract? Why pay him more just so we can sell him for less.
