Told you all this when he rose to power.

Didn't we have a similar thread to this when we were bottom of the league? Why are people always looking for scapegoats?

It has to be someone's fault webbo, find your favourite scapegoat.

Has anyone seen wellens?

Simpson is still my scapegoat. We could have won the league at OT if he tracked Martial's run.

Yeah but if Lee peltier was better human he would have still played for us, so really it's his fault.

I can't say a bad thing about him. But maybe that's cause I'm a Peltier by blood and there is a small chance we're 2nd cousins 3 times removed.

The only thing that he could possibly be blamed for in my opinion is the fact that we seem to value our player too low compared to other clubs.

Rudkin wouldn't have told the players to put in a release clause, nor would he have set it so low by choice. The player and his agent would have made it a condition of signing.

I heard he was writing figures down on paper and getting the players to draw them out of the hat. Rudkin Out!

I don't mean with release clauses but more in general, when a player is linked with a move away the value thats put on them seems low in comparison to other clubs player. It might just be the media under valuing our players but I can't help but think that those numbers must have some basis.

There wasnt actually any need to renew his contract - he had plenty of time left on it. If there wasn't a release clause on the old contract then this is ludicrous.

The value would be negotiated by the agent. It's in the players interest to have a lower valuation so they can get a better deal from the next club.

And we could have refused. At least refused a release clause that low (even if only to other Champion's League teams). Vardy still had what, 2 years left on his contract? Why pay him more just so we can sell him for less.

You think keeping him on less money would have made him more likely to stay?

If he didn't have a release clause, then yes. Or tell him we wouldn't sell for less than 40m. If he got upset about it, then let him rot.

Good plan lol

For all we know he had a £10 million release cause in his last contract. If he wants to go he'll go whether there's a release cause or not.
