Mark_w Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 A short letter will be better, as it'll probably take him time to read and understand the context. Yo Vards, don't walk on.
ThaiFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If people think he's gonna go for the money then that might be a little bit misunderstood.. If vardy wants to buy/rent the same kind of house he has here in London it's gonna cost him 3-4 times more than it is up here. That's his doubled wages gone, if it's down to stacking pennies he might be better off staying at Leicester because his outgoings in the big smoke will likely triple! A house like Vardy has in Melton costing 3/4 times more in London?.....then add a couple of million on and you're close!!
ozleicester Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Christ Is he signing? Gerrimin! Capable of creating the world.. and has done NOTHING for 2000 years. Dont want - Wont fit our work ethic!
lc4lcfc Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Forget the money, we have won more trophies since 04 than arsenal have. I'm not saying we're a bigger club but let that sink in for a moment. It tells you all you need to know about their big club status. Besides my real bug bear is that this team, led by Jamie himself have banded together to do "the impossible". They defied the odds, took on the big boys and won! Now if Jamie does move to London, it will feel like a massive hammer blow to not only Leicester but every other football fan of a smaller team. It doesn't matter what we do or how even the playing field becomes financially, we still cant consistently compete with the names of the league. What happened to one more season? If jamie truly believed in everything he has said this season, he will flick arsene the Vs and lead us to euro glory. If he doesn't believe in it. He'll be on the bench by Christmas and as popular as David Cameron, mind you he will still be turning out for England in 3 years time.
bovril Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 He comes from quite a rough background if I've understood correctly. He's played about 4 years in the football league, I imagine only the last 2 seasons with a large wage. He has 3 or 4 seasons left at the top level, unless of course he gets injured tomorrow. He'll lose a hell of a lot of the money in tax and fees to his agent. Can you blame him?
Fox92 Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The irony of m4dd0gg saying I was pining over Pearson in the Championship thread? Is he even a Leicester fan with his comments in this thread.
bovril Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I thought it was obvious by now that m4dd0g is a Forest fan.
Captain... Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Dear Jamie Having slept on it feck you. Such a greedy nasty piece of shit. You have made yourself look like a right judas cvnt and i am talking Brian little/Mark McGhee proportions. Even if this arsenal deal falls through I still don't want you here. You have burnt your bridges. Ones I feel sorry far are your so called band of brothers, the fans and the club who have played a huge role in elevating you to this level. For these reasons you are not a Leicester legend. Making it quite clear only 3 weeks ago you love it and are staying only to be turned at the first hand after being touted and rejected by other clubs is not the stuff of a legend no matter how many goals you have scored.......genuinely makes me feel sick. Either way good riddance you judas pikey chav cvnt. Hope this ruins you and your hideous money grabbing wife. One day when you are long forgotten after failing at Arsenal and your wife has rinsed you we will see a piece in a shit tabloid paper of you back in that factory in your 50's with no family, no friends and just a box of regret. Yours Sincerely.... Just tell me why? Why do you an so many others think this? Vardy has said nothing, people are stirring shit up for a number of reasons, some people find it funny, some people are doing it for likes/retweets etc, sports "journalists" are doing it to get traffic to their sites and sell newspapers. Until I hear something official from Vardy or his representatives I am not going to turn on someone who contributed massively to us winning the league.
JamesWelshFox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Dear Jamie, Prove to us all that football means more than money and stay. We all have to earn enough to live. How much is a personal choice, but I know you earn more than me and despite this I am happy with my meagre pittance. I have earned more than I do now, and I could go back to it tomorrow but I won't because I have come to learn that the real value in life is not reflected on a bank statement. I have spent 40 years following this club. I could have jumped ship for the glory, but I hung on in there and when the glory came it meant so much more. Go with my blessing if you will, or stay for our love and be forever fearless. Your sincerely,
ozleicester Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Dear Jamie, I won't be writing an open letter. Much love Liar

I actually feel sick, both physically and emotionally at the thought of the dreaded news being confirmed and watching the Euros with him, should he do well, no longer being with us. Also the fear that he may have triggered the others leaving. This weekend has been absolute shit. *Note to self, need to get a life..*
ozleicester Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Its great that our club continues to give excitement even in the off season, last year Thailand and Person and this year.. our entire squad to be replaced
m4DD0gg Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Jamie, Please don't leave my club but then again who am I to tell you to not move forward in your career I'm only a web developer. Although I'm pretty sure if Microsoft offered me a job I'd be off to. Thanks for helping us win our first ever top flight title, you'll always be a legend for that. Microsoft are shit to work for especially in the UK. Trust me.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The new professionals are briefed by an adviser at LCFC among the guidance they are given is the length of a player career, something silly like 6 years on average, 33 per cent of players get divorced within a year of retiring, 40 per cent are declared bankrupt within five years of playing their last game, and 80 per cent will suffer from osteoarthritis. Stats from a players charity.
Hubert Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 I stopped reading here when you compared Wolves to Arsenal. Moving to Wolves is so much different moving to Arsenal - we're talking about a club who has won multiple league titles, multiple domestic cups, played in a Champions League final and not been relegated since they got promoted. If he was "moving" to a side like West Brom or West Ham then I coud agree but this is Arsenal FFS wake up. I wish people would get money out their head, too. Consistently he has more chance of winning trophies at Arsenal as they are always around the top four - we've just won the top flight for the first time since 1884. Since Jamie Vardy turned 18 (his adult life, or footballing "career" if you like) Arsenal have won two FA Cups and two Community Shields. Leicester City have won League One, the Championship and the Premier League. And we could win the Community Shield before Arsenal play another competitive match.
m4DD0gg Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The irony of m4dd0gg saying I was pining over Pearson in the Championship thread? Is he even a Leicester fan with his comments in this thread. if thats how you want your so called hero (possibly hero's) to treat you as a fan, then thats pretty weak. I am not talking about him want to play for a clearly superior club, i am talking about his two faced way of going about it. If we were shit and finished near the bottom or mid table than i would be very happy for him to go although sad. Just as i was with Cambiasso, heskey, izzet, lennon, draper etc. Does it not seriously piss you off that literally less than 1 month ago we lifted the premier league trophy, this guy comes out with god knows how many interviews giving it the big'un about loving the club, staying, band of brothers, thankful etc to literally at the same fecking time orchestrating a move through his agent to another team. Seriously have a word.
eunmac Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The thing that makes me saddest in all of this (if it happens) is we won't have one of our own (England) players to cheer on at the Euros. That has to be some sort of record. EPL champs and not one player making the England squad at a major tournament. Can't he just wait til after at least?!

Seriously have a word. Are you serious? There's absolutely no proof that he would rather play for them than us yet is there? I don't particularly mean to defend Vardy, I think I've made it clear already that as a human being he seems pretty distasteful, but there's no reason for people who can look past that or don't agree to turn against him until he's gone.
foxy boxing Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 If he goes to arsenal he will be mainly played out wide by arsene then end up rotting in the reserves and get injured he may end up with lots of cash but his football will ultimately suffer
Kendal Fox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The thing that makes me saddest in all of this (if it happens) is we won't have one of our own (England) players to cheer on at the Euros. That has to be some sort of record. EPL champs and not one player making the England squad at a major tournament. Can't he just wait til after at least?! Exactly... It's the timing that's the cruelest, should he go. We are all just beginning to take in the magnitude of what was achieved, these things need time to breathe so we can truly enjoy, analyse, savour, inspire excitement and hope for the new season, etc., etc. But that's all been taken away, on the eve of what could have been a fantastic summer for City fans. And I still want to know why there has been absolutely nothing from the club, statement-wise??

But why did his Wife put out that statement (via Twitter) saying that she is not responsible for his decisions? Surely that's sign posting it, no?
phildw Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 The guys touching 30 years old. Cash in on him he's never going to emulate the season he has just had - ever. So the Arse will be getting a slightly (probably a lot worse) player than he was for us last season. Let's face it once you've 'done it' with one club (win PL) what more is there to excite (don't say win CL because is never going to happen!). I am sure a lot of the star players are feeling exactly the same way. We loved it last season and we can always say 'we did it' but in the cold light of day the minute Captain Morgan lifted that cup with pride it probably killed LCFC in the current stature we know it. New challenges ahead that's for sure and that's why Claidio was spouting a 10th league position would be good next season (if he is not Italy manager by then!).
KingKante Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 A house like Vardy has in Melton costing 3/4 times more in London?.....then add a couple of million on and you're close!! Exactly!..
Donut Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Nonsense. They'll never properly challenge for the title or CL while that Kronke bloke is in charge, all they want is fourth and give up once that's sorted. When they've such an aversion to winning and delight in failing you can't say it's a move to win trophies. They're a bigger club, but they don't take winning things seriously. Sour grapes. Arsenal will never properly challenge for the title? do me a favour.
