Cathartic Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 UEFA have threatened to chuck us and the Russians out of the competition if we carry on as we have been. Can see it happen. And should the brawls continue I hope it does. The hooligan monkeys are a disgrace to humanity.
promised land Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 He got put in hospital first night, sits in l1, not a trouble maker by all accounts, from what I can make out they we attacked, not looking for trouble. At the same time it takes two to tango, those chairs and flares flying back and forth, a lot of English out there are giving as good as they're getting. If trouble started you would get out of there not start throwing missiles back. They're not all innocent, a lot are yes but some bad eggs out there that have gone to look for it.

However, I've got no idea if it was in self-defence or if he had been hit first and hitting someone else before anything says otherwise.

GaelicFox Posted 12 June 2016 Author Posted 12 June 2016 The krauts are at it tonight We should hold a hooligan championship away from the footie Think they call it MMA

Don't dispute that some England fans didn't help matters, but I was commenting on the Leicester lad, if you watch the footage, it's just him and his mate being attacked, by a large gang of locals, they wasn't part of a large group looking for trouble. They were singled out because they were English, hit with bars, chair legs and belts the locals took off and hit with the buckles, these lads in question only offence was being English. I know quite a lot of people from Leicester who have gone out there as families, and I'm hearing similar things. It's even reported in the main stream press, English were being attacked eating dinner in restaurants. It's so easy whilst sitting in the safety of home, to say people should avoid the area, don't respond, but harder when under attack, big difference between looking for trouble, and doing what every human has the right to do, defending themselves. So what I'm saying is, I agree throwing bottles etc, doesn't help, but a lot of the fighting was down to people defending themselves, against large groups of French and Russian holigans, attacking anybody English.

Gotta be honest mate, more fool them for going. I know that sounds harsh but this was always gonna happen. My advice is come home and get out of this utter fookin nonsense. I'd be VERY surprised if this don't continue. I'd never take my kid to anything like this. Utterly utterly ridiculous.
Jamiebux Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Hearing on Ssn the French government have banned alcohol in the fan zones and other sensitive areas .
RowlattsFox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Wasn't the fan zones the safest place to be? Banning drink there will just mean more on streets. Makes no sense.

The fans, the French police, the holigans, UEFA need to have a long hard look at themselves. I cannot understand how the same countries keep getting the tournaments, oh I can sorry, but to give it to a racist, nation, who has major problems with domestic holigans, the next championship is a joke, it proved that money does buy votes. The French have lost control, as seen with the Germans, the Irish etc all involved in major trouble, but it will be nothing compared to Russia, were even there authorities hate anybody western.

If I felt it was all going to be well organised, safe and controlled, I'd have no qualms mate. But the first few days have demonstrated that the French Authorities are anything but in control. If we think that some of our lads are 'hard nuts' they are nothing compared to the Russian mob. Some of their crew are fookin nuts. And it's going to take more than the French to control them I'm afraid. God help us when the World Cup comes around. I'd be surprised if some of the English lads don't get killed.

UEFA haven't given Russia the next championship, that's FIFA. The French police don't help by being riot geared up to start with, although tear gas and water canons should be used here when riots, edl Marches etc get out of hand. As for last night in the ground when they ran at English fans, it's been reported the English fans had bought tickets on Russian sites, so not really a safety, segregation issue as if true those fans shouldn't have been there to start with. Like I said it's been reported so not sure how true the facts are. Wasn't there trouble in 98, hence the locals seeking revenge over the lads couple of days?

The global political climate is not getting any friendly and as a westerner you would be bat shit crazy to go over there.
ElusiveEd Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 The Russians that attacked us inside the ground were not discriminating between who wanted trouble and who were genuine England fans. They just saw us as English and we would do. Genuine England fans who were targeted by a pre meditated attack and who did not want to cause or be involved in any violence are now being branded as disgraceful hooligans because we were set upon. The England fans/families who were running for safety, jumping over fences and into deep gangways are NOT hooligans but genuine loyal fans who were there for the football. Did the Russians care? Not one jot! Generalising and stereotyping us is doing a disservice to the England Supporters Association. Are people going to brand Rebekah Vardy as a hooligan because she got caught up in it all? People need to differentiate between what went on inside the ground and what goes on in the streets and bars in the town. Even then, there is a helluva lot of provocation, baiting and pre-planned attacks by locals and others who are chancing their arm against England fans and our reputations. It's escalating because what are people going to do? Just stand there and be assaulted, bottled, punched and beaten? or fight back for your safety and/or because of the fact you've been pushed into it? You try to escape and flee down the streets but the French Police are tear gassing us to contain us within the area it's kicking off in. The French Police and security services have a lot to answer for with their handling of this, not to mention provocation.
Cheese Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 How aggressive are the Slovakia fans? I have tickets but I'm not very good at fighting.
promised land Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 How aggressive are the Slovakia fans? I have tickets but I'm not very good at fighting. You don't need to fight, can you kick and throw a plastic chair? If so you'll be fine.
Great Boos Up Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 What if we draw Moskva? I mean I'd love to be 20 years younger going to all away matches but this would now look a bit dodgy. Some chaps are saving like crazy to go to this?
Great Boos Up Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 How aggressive are the Slovakia fans? I have tickets but I'm not very good at fighting. Any trouble just give em a thwak with an inflatable.
Cheese Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Any trouble just give em a thwak with an inflatable. I won't be taking any inflatables to this tournament. If our own fans are willing to steal inflatable dinosaurs then I'm sure the Russian's would do far, far worse.
Ashley Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Behave yourself no of course not. Eye opener for me over here this weekend, reports of trouble worse than 1998. Some of the things I've seen have disgusted me really have. I think a few Leicester fans will have eye openers next season in Europe, few of the lads here who go aboard to watch other teams might know what I'm on about with the trouble and how it goes off.
