weller54 Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Feel sorry for you guys next season in terms of travelling into Europe because now those fans will be treated like animals due to the acts of a mindless few provoked by others in a sense. Lets hope you don't get a Russian side! That's ok.. Deeney will sort them out for us!
LCFC FOX Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 If we get a Russian side I can see not many people travelling at all and I don't blame people! Which is a shame as we'll no doubt sell out anywhere we go in Europe! Hopefully we avoid Russian teams
norwichfox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Shades of English teams banned from the season 1985–86 on until the season 1990–91 because of the Heysel disaster in 1985, involving Liverpool & Juventus, from what I saw on TV the Juventus fans were not without blame. My son was gutted as he's a Norwich supporter - they had won the league Cup and qualified for the UEFA Cup. He was very quick to remind me of that when we saw the news. Hope to goodness that we don't get a repeat, having said that, I would prefer that we were not in Europe if the cost was to be lives of Leicester Supporters. I feel sad for football that it's no longer safe for a family to go abroad to watch a match. My thoughts go out to those seriously injured and those who's minds will be scarred forever by what they've had to endure here.

Which is a shame as we'll no doubt sell out anywhere we go in Europe! Hopefully we avoid Russian teams Would be nice to a bit of consistency from the European football authorities.Russian side have been punished for racism, they take serious violence abroad and at home, it's not just a drunken punch up. They are organised, attacked women and children, carrying weapons, nearly killing people, England fans were slashed, and they are hell bent on being like the English in the 80's. It's time they get the punishment we got in the 80's, and be banned from all competitions, until the Russian authorities take control and deal with this problem. I think it's clear now, the vast majority of the English were the victims, and are having to defend themselves from Russian and French thugs.
Monsell1976 Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Don't forget the next World Cup is in Russia too.We know now, it was given to them fraudulently, for the safety off fans from all over the world, especially those of ethnic origins, they should have the competition took off them
Fox92 Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 We know now, it was given to them fraudulently, for the safety off fans from all over the world, especially those of ethnic origins, they have the competition took off them Hopefully so. Nobody will be safe actually going over there.
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 The general consensus amongst my lot in the pub last night is that you couldn't pay us to go to the tournament. It's a young man's game supporting England and putting yourself in risky situations like this. Some foreign fans goad us, knowing that some of our 'faithful' will take the bait. We are a target, for sure. Literally rather be watching at home or in the pubs in Leicester. That said, we are looking to make at least one trip in the Champions League. As much for seeing new places as for actually watching the football. Based on the fixtures, we'll pick our destination.
DeclanMC Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 UEFA charges made against the Russian FA, with no case against England, probably tells all you need to know about the origins of the violence.
RowlattsFox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 UEFA can't do anything about what happened in the streets of Marseille. Only what happened in and around the stadium. It won't stop me going to a European game if I get the chance. Can be a little bit of trouble in certain places but never in this scale. wouldn't be going to Russia though.
stix Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 It certainly doesn't bode well for the world cup in 2 years time. For any of the teams in it. At least 10 x more Russians on the streets looking for trouble. Should never have been given to them in the first place.
bovril Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Suddenly Red Bull Salzburg doesn't seem such a bad proposition....
lifted*fox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Both England and Russia have been warned they will be disqualified from the tournament if there is any further trouble - SSN.
AKCJ Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 UEFA have threatened to chuck us and the Russians out of the competition if we carry on as we have been.
Russell sprout Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Both England and Russia have been warned they will be disqualified from the tournament if there is any further trouble - SSN. There both gettin banned then, there's no way there'll be no more trouble, just heard of someone I know of who's in a coma as a result of the trouble,it's also fooked my Celtic plans up as my mate doesn't wanna go now although we've booked flights and digs
HankMarvin Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 UEFA have threatened to chuck us and the Russians out of the competition if we carry on as we have been. if they wait a few days they wont have to ban us, be out anyway
Sir Shep Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Are they going to ban the French as well? Oh and those who are attacking the Northen Irish as well?
Guest seanfox778 Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 It's well documented now that a lot of French youths are involved in the violence, surely as France fans they should be facing the same consequence.

At least when we fail to qualify we can pretend we did it on purpose as a security precaution.
21st Century Fox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Have we not sent Ross Kemp in to sort this lot out yet!!
AyewJoking Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Every tournament we are targeted because of our reputation, but we can't fight back because of the banning orders stopping our supporters travelling If there's going to be a brawl, then at least let our top lads even things up a bit and be allowed to travel
