Feel for the innocent fans caught up in the Russian attacks, and prayers are with the English fan who is in a critical condition.

Seems a bit OTT, three plain clothes heavies, manhandling one presumably rowdy youngster but I guess looks can be deceptive. Why can't people just enjoy the games and leave the beer alone if it turns them violent?

Our fans are being murdered, and people on social media calling them. Ffs stories of England fans defending women and children coming out, because these filth are attacking anybody English. The French police need to protect the English fans, not tear gas them. I will pray tonight for all those who are dying or fighting for their lives, and for those seeking safety. I just hope they arrest those animals who pushed the fan on the track, and put the other ins critical condition, but I doubt it. The authorities have lost control, and have failed the supporters who have gone to enjoy the game, poor organisation, they knew the Russians planned mass disorder, as it was well reported before the game.

Wymsey Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Football + western politics v it's rivals = Bitter combination.Might be wrong here, but can't remember any other sport tournaments that had contained more violence than football with a global audience watching it on news etc.And football will be sadly blamed and the perception will now be only 'thugs' support it because of a minority of fans from across Europe want to show what their country's stance is towards other EU nations.Glad Russia aren't playing Ukraine anytime...UEFA will struggle to contain this.
Vlad the Fox Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Russia are a disgrace. I was speaking to a Man U fan recently who warned me against going to russia if we drew a team there. He said its horrible, if they're not trying to rip you off or rob you then they want to fight you. If security can't be guaranteed for visiting supporters or when their fans travel they should be eliminated from every competition until such a point that it is. Which in the case of this brain dead scum will be never. England had its problems in the past but we have travelled relatively trouble free for years now, yet European police forces seem to think it's still the 1980's, and target us as such. Yes we should not be provoked and walk away but it's not always as simple as that. When you've got hardcore nutters on the street, safety in numbers is often the safest option, and sometimes you have to defend yourselfs when those that should be doing it let you down.
