Deucalion Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 How aggressive are the Slovakia fans? I have tickets but I'm not very good at fighting. You might need a body guard. Something with fangs, long claws and the intelligence to figure out how to get out of it's cage maybe ?!?!?!
The Year Of The Fox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Behave yourself no of course not. Eye opener for me over here this weekend, reports of trouble worse than 1998. Some of the things I've seen have disgusted me really have. I think a few Leicester fans will have eye openers next season in Europe, few of the lads here who go aboard to watch other teams might know what I'm on about with the trouble and how it goes off. It's been an eye opener for me and I've watched football in a fair few Eastern European countries. I shan't be bothering with any Russian trip And if we get them at Filbert Way... Well, I'm glad I live in Coalville
Ashley Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 What's it been like there today? No trouble that I've seen massive police presence though
Aus Fox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Just hearing a Northern Ireland supporter has died out there. RIP no one should ever have to go and watch their team and not come home.

Loggy88 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Hooligans at an international tournament should not affect domestic football. I can't see the problems affecting our champions league place.
Guest foxestalkisfullofidiots Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I spent the first 3 days in the Paris fanzone, real mix of fans and didn't see one bit of trouble, got to Lille yesterday and it kicked off before the Germany/Ukraine game, the were seem to be started by some French guys with masks on....plus not one TV camera, I've heard a lot of England fans are staying here before the Wales game in Lens, it will be interesting to see how many cameras there will be.
Sublime_Coatsworth Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Vardy's misses says she was 'tear gassed'. She wasn't teargassed, her can of Elnett fvckin exploded.

Monsell1976 Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 These's politicians and people from uefa and the fa, want to read the official statement from the England supporters club, the fans who travel the world with England, who travel through the fa, and stop blaming the England fans. I am a bit old , so don't know how to copy it and put it on here, but it's pretty much what I posted, after being told by people over there. They go as far as to say, not one incident was the fault of England fans, and all, women and children included, were targeted by Russian and French holigans, and the French police stood and watched, and then just threw tear gas in.

Oh come on, I don't believe all of that. Taking over the centre of the most volatile city in France singing anti European chants etc is going to wind up some of the locals. Yes the Russians took it onto a different level, but some English fans are not completely blameless in all of this.
Kilworthfox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 I think there needs to be some serious questions asked about how the French police are policing this tournament! It appears that locals French citizens are being allowed to harass and be violent towards British supporters. Its a disgrace! Where is our government standing up for our supporters?

Oh you deserve stabbing and beating nearly to death, because numerically we took 40000 more than the Russians, so will have more fans in the main area's.And beaten for singing anti ira, and European songs, deserves stabbing and beating. Come on, yes England has a small element of idiots, and in the past, we were bad, but the blame on this occasion, yes the English were blameless, again easy to blame from the arm chair, speak to people who are there, ask them who's to blame.

So if a load of French fans come over here, chanting anti English songs, being aggressive etc etc, then would you expect there to be no trouble? Do you think English fans would not react and let them do as they please in their town? A complete lack of respect from a lot of England fans. I didn't say they deserved a beating, but i don't think they were all as innocent as you make out.

Few were singing no surrender to the IRA and heard 10 German Bombers once whilst I was there. Nothing sung towards French or Russians. Not any English fans fault that we have the world's best supporters in terms of numbers and voice is it? Would loved for you to be in Marsielle to see some of the sights I've saw over this weekend you'll think twice about posting then.

I didn't say they deserved a beating, but i don't think they were all as innocent as you make out. You are talking about a few fans outside one pub, not the vast majority, who were hunted down, and beaten to a pulp. It's clear if somebody isn't looking to blame the England fans, because it's the English, it's clear they are victims of a well planned, and organised attack. The same as the polish and Irish were, by the French, and the German fans fighting with locals and Ukraine, which is under reported, as its not the English/ Russian. It's becoming very clear, with major violence happening all over the tournament, the French authorities are poorly organised, and are failing to protect fans, of all nationalities. The poor organisation gets worse, they knew before the tournament about the threat to the English from the Russians, so what do they do, recommended any English fans without tickets, stop and drink in the town the Russians play in, 24 hours before, and when not if it kicks off again, it's will be blamed on the fans, and the organisation will not be questioned. And the French need to be honest about how much their own holigans are impacting on the disturbances

This is the point I'm trying to get across, easy sitting at home, being fed what the press wants you to see, different when you are being attacked for nothing, and being expected not to defend yourself. The problem now is, a pack mentality will form with the English, after what has been seen, and that has the potential to become a problem, safety in number mentality, and more will be dragged into the trouble, those who would normally stay out the way, and I can't blame them.
ramadaone Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 Think you might find our home European games might be as bad as the away ones especially if we draw a Russian team Will be a lot of supporters of other English clubs travelling to Leicester to gain revenge knowing pretty much that the Leicester fans will get the blame Pretty much a free hit because if they do get caught they will just say they are Leicester supporters How you would stop that happening I'm not quite sure
Ashley Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 When I get back I'll post some photos, was drinking with Austrian fans before the game Saturday they loved it once they found out our group were Leicester fans. One of the lads who was with us was pictured in the French news paper next day with blood pouring down his head after we got ran out of a bar by French locals and Russian ultras. Coppers loved whacking any English in the way and chucking tear gas about Think you might find our home European games might be as bad as the away ones especially if we draw a Russian team Will be a lot of supporters of other English clubs travelling to Leicester to gain revenge knowing pretty much that the Leicester fans will get the blame Pretty much a free hit because if they do get caught they will just say they are Leicester supporters How you would stop that happening I'm not quite sure Thought this myself too
Steameh Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 How aggressive are the Slovakia fans? I have tickets but I'm not very good at fighting. Ill be there for that game...assuming we don't get kicked out that is.

I can imagine it was not nice at all. I can only go by what I have read from numerous sources. Singing anti IRA songs outside an Irish pub is not too clever. Song's like 'Sit down if you hate the French', and 'F**k off Europe, we're all voting out' along with a chant about ISIS have all been widely reported.

Throw in a few bars about German bombers and the English really did make friends and influence people ! There is a story Doing the rounds on Facebook of a dozen Russian oil rig guys in Aberdeen getting a free night on the pish because of the great job the Russians did in kicking the shite out of Edwards Army LOL
