Strokes Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 What about Liam fox, has he decided to run? I've always liked him.
Jimothy Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 What about Liam fox, has he decided to run? I've always liked him. Think he implied on Sunday that he might, but didn't go as far as confirming it.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 What about Liam fox, has he decided to run? I've always liked him. Is he not a bit too light weight to be Prime Minister?
atomicfox Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Should have been David Davis last time.I'd go for priti Patel this time around.
Strokes Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Is he not a bit too light weight to be Prime Minister? Maybe but I've always liked him, never afraid to against the grain.
Webbo Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Maybe but I've always liked him, never afraid to against the grain. Nothing against him but is he electable?
Strokes Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Nothing against him but is he electable? I don't know, it's not something I've really analysed. I'm guessing some think not, I know he would restore a bit of faith in the party for me. It's very much on knife edge as to whether I vote for them at the next GE.
Guest MattP Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Did anyone consider Jeremy Hunt? He's thrown his hat in the ring on ITV morning telly just now it seems (talking rubbish by the way). The man who said a few weeks ago his last top job was going to be in health now claiming he might run for PM? Wtf. The bloke has some disorder I think, doesn't stand a chance anyway, no way would he be elected by the membership. If you want to be a Tory Prime Minister you can't be health or education secretary as you'll become too toxic as you'll run into conflict with the workers of the two departments you represent, health is always a disaster for the Tories and the teachers of the country aren't even shy now about how much they hate the Conservative party.
Guest Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 What about Woy? He can't do any worse than as England manager, perhaps Cameron can coach the England team.
Strokes Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 What about Woy? He can't do any worse than as England manager, perhaps Cameron can coach the England team. Roy's labour through and through (pretends to love the workers but really follows the coin), he will be on the shadow cabinet by the weekend.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 As a Labour supporter they're all cvnts and frankly I hope they tear eachother to bits. Obviously the ones that the electorate like, Boris and Davidson, are the ones I hope will lose. Got to say now this thing is over I'm glad I can go back to disagreeing with the likes of @@MattP and @@Webbo and start calling them stupid again. A highly un-intellectual response. Typical of left wing Labour mentality. I'm really sad for you sonny.
Guest Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Hoping for a nasty campaign full of lies and sexual content.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Teresa May, she's kept her head down during this campaign and is inoffensive to both sides of the party. Yes, I have switched to her, for this very reason. She is a very astute and able politician, who could do a very good job.
Guest Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 I would have thought hiding keeping you head down during this campaign and being a sit on the fencer inoffensive to both sides would be good reasons not to choose her to lead your country. in fact it sounds like a cross between Corbyn and milliband. Has she considered running for the Labour leadership?
Thracian Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 I'd go for Andrea Leadsom. As an aspiring golfer I like the name for a start. She seems to have the ability to get a grasp on complicated questions, has good delivery, doesn't need to be strident to get her message across and appears to be a winner. Nothing against Boris. He's been a winner too but I don't always like his style and quite like the idea of a woman Prime Minister. Women sometimes have a refreshing way of looking at things and I like the way she handled her own crisis of conscience regarding same-sex marriages by seeing both points of view despite her own. Not that I'd normally favour abstension but she did explain her reasons and they seemed sound enough. I also liked her comments and manner in the Brexit campaign. Prime Ministers need to have a certain dignity and statesmanship. Cameron is excellent in this respect and she'd be the same.

Guest MattP Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Boris drifting like a barge in the betting, Theresa May now favourite.
EnderbyFox Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Can any of our resident politics experts explain to me why Sajid Javid's face appears to be 3 times too small for his head?

Buce Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Yes, I have switched to her, for this very reason. She is a very astute and able politician, who could do a very good job. I thought you were a UKIP supporter?
Guest MattP Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 This is down to four already. Boris, May, Crabb and Leadsom. I'm calling it now Boris doesn't win.

Realist Guy In The Room Posted 29 June 2016 Posted 29 June 2016 If Boris doesnt win and May does, how long before they announce another referendum or that they're just going to ignore this one?
