RobHawk Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 I honestly have no idea, I wrote to my local Tory MP to ask on his vote (after he told me in person he was out when I did) the EU ref and I got a lod of guff about how the amazing reforms the Prime Minister had achieved had swung him back, cowardice of the highest order and I wouldn't vote for him. The other candidates had nothing going for them either. Given my main political aim is achieved I might just draw a cock on the ballot paper or something, the child in me has always wanted to do that but the vote was always too important to me. Surelly that would be classed as a tory vote!
Mike Oxlong Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Who knows? This could be the best thing to happen to DC A year down the line he could be enjoying a blissful existence in pig farming
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Three words. Jacob Rees-Mogg A victory for toffs everywhere!
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Can see the campaign t-shirts now B J 4 P M Or, Our country needs a BJ. You know you want one!
Webbo Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Teresa May, she's kept her head down during this campaign and is inoffensive to both sides of the party.
RobHawk Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Teresa May, she's kept her head down during this campaign and is inoffensive to both sides of the party. I think thats a good shout - especially as i think she would be completley unelectable!
Guest MattP Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Three words. Jacob Rees-Mogg A victory for toffs everywhere! Now this would get me voting Tory again.
MrSpaM Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Good leader? Has a Referendum for his own gain, and then resigns when it doesn't go his way leaving the mess for others to sort out, yep great leadership that. And yet he's ten times the leader Ed Miliband ever would have been...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Only one choice imo., and that is Michael Gove. A very astute and able man, who would be a formidable force in negotiating our exit from the EU.
purpleronnie Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Only one choice imo., and that is Michael Gove. A very astute and able man, who would be a formidable force in negotiating our exit from the EU. Pretty sure he's evil incarnate.
Darkon84 Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Three words. Jacob Rees-Mogg A victory for toffs everywhere! If only! Sadly I don't think he harbours any ambition for the post.
Wymsey Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Why not Nicky Morgan. Seems alright, level-headed and not full of herself.
danny. Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 What is the poll for though? Most evil? Most amusing photos? Most money in an offshore account? Highest expenses claims for 2017?
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Why not Nicky Morgan. Seems alright, level-headed and not full of herself. She's my MP and she shouldn't be anywhere near a position of government never mind PM. Completely inarticulate, weak-minded and a sheep to the will of others. And her haircut is absolutely awful.
ousefox Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Why not Nicky Morgan. Seems alright, level-headed and not full of herself. She just seems to do whatever she's told.I hate Boris. People need to see past the silly charade he puts on. I don't even think he's that intelligent.
Alf Bentley Posted 24 June 2016 Posted 24 June 2016 Which of them voted remain / leave? Leave: Boris, Gove, Leadsom, Patel Remain: May, Crabb, Osborne, Davidson New PM will surely be Boris or Gove. May kept her head down during the campaign, so might make the final 2, but would lose to the preferred Brexiteer, surely? Davidson or Crabb would arouse least hostility in non-Tories, I reckon (or in me at least) Davidson has ruled herself out, though (credibly). Osborne is a dead man walking. Leadsom, Patel & Crabb are too unknown/inexperienced at the top level, surely? Leadsom may have "had a good war", but would quickly grate. Won't vote in the poll as I don't want any of the cvnts in office, of course. Would like to see them tear themselves apart in a civil war, but now suspect that they won't. Not in the short-term anyway as there's too much at stake, though a massive implosion further down the line is very possible. In the short-term, a Labour civil was looks more likely - and might be necessary for the party to survive as a credible force.
Harry - LCFC Posted 25 June 2016 Posted 25 June 2016 Surely it's going to be one of the Brexit campaigners?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Did anyone consider Jeremy Hunt? He's thrown his hat in the ring on ITV morning telly just now it seems (talking rubbish by the way).
Alf Bentley Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Did anyone consider Jeremy Hunt? He's thrown his hat in the ring on ITV morning telly just now it seems (talking rubbish by the way). Did he offer an extra £350m per week for the NHS?
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 28 June 2016 Posted 28 June 2016 Did he offer an extra £350m per week for the NHS? No, funnily enough he didn't, went exactly the opposite. But he was suggesting of negotiating the EU exit deal in a similar way to the JD contract, blind belligerence.

But he was suggesting of negotiating the EU exit deal in a similar way to the JD contract, blind belligerence. That would go down well. I presume his approach to the Russian football hooligans would be to take them on single-handed and unarmed. He seems to have some strange macho psychological disorder. Did you see that strange Newsnight interview weeks back that he insisted on doing standing up, so that he could stare aggressively down at the interviewer?

Did you see that strange Newsnight interview weeks back that he insisted on doing standing up, so that he could stare aggressively down at the interviewer? Yes I enjoyed that one as James took him to task. But I don't think even the Tory party are that stupid to indulge him so much to the extent he becomes PM. He is not a leader. Seems to be it will be a run of May vs Johnson (with Gove as running mate), which if it was the case, could be a close run thing.
