Happy Ranieri Day

I was delighted with his appointment simply because the thought of having Preki or Lennon made my blood boil. I expected to be in a relegation battle but never in my wildest dreams did I think we would win the title at a canter. It was such a ridiculous idea it never crossed my mind. Last season will forever be the greatest season in our history.

Thank you Claudio. You will always be loved here no matter what

The club statement was hilarious 'we've secured one of the world's elite managers' . Are they serious? They have no clue. Let's not forget they've now appointed Sousa, Sven and Ranieri

Ranieri will be a flop. Cannot believe they'd be so bloody stupid.

He hasnt even been in the job a day and you are already certain he will be a flop. Lets at least give him a chance hey.

My first impression on his appointment. Meh. Doesnt fill me with too much excitement but more importantly it doesnt fill me with too much dread either.

Out of all the names linked with the job Ranieri was ahead of alot of them. Coterill, Dyche, Lennon and Preki in the hotseat i would have dreaded this coming season. With Ranieri i am a little more optimistic.

His career hasnt been filled with success but he has managed big teams and has done well at a few clubs. Lets not forget he already knows Huth and Walsh so they will help him settle into the job. Huth may even be made captain there's a thought.

I am a little worried that he hasnt been in a relegation battle before but in saying that surely that means he could walk in and establish us as a safe mid table team. Only time will tell.

Fixtures have been kind to us. He will have to get off to a good start to win over fans. Lets all get behind him though and give him a chance.

In one year this man has done more for our club than any other manager we've had  - and if anyone disagrees my ghast would be flabbered.

All those thinking he was a poor appointment last year - donkeys.

Do think he needs a statue. At the same time, there's so many players we need statues for too (Birch, Weller, Banks, Shilton, Lineker etc).

I like how Manchester United have Best, Law and Charlton in one statue. We could/should do something the same.

To some of us, it was so obvious.

The season just kept giving, our own experts,ex-players all pundits and journalist eating dirt

everyweek.

The joke, became the greatest successfull story ever .. (told)..

The dirty dozen, where everybody survived.

The only fairytale, that turned out to be a fact loved by everybody worldwide.

Ranieri proved their is gold at the end of the rainbow.

His press interviews were the best entertainment programs of the week.

The queen is allowed 2 birthdays everyyear, the same should now be desiganted for Claudio Ranieri

Agree, it would be fantastic. As nice as our ground looks and it has improved greatly in recent years, I'd still like to see more statues of our legends either in town or outside the actual ground. We have a lot of legends in our club history so it would be nice to see some. A few years ago, there was a facebook page/funding/petition page to get a statue of one of our legends outside the stadium.

I'm thinking of setting up another page like that to raise funds for it, and hopefully it would raise enough to have one/couple of statues constructed outside the KP.

How far do you think it'd go or would it be even worth it in terms of the amount of fans who'd like to see it happen? If the club came across it, perhaps they would be willing to help. I've noticed over the last couple of years (since circa 2013 & UFS really), the club seem active in listening to new ideas and fans thoughts. Maybe worth a try?
