Bury we're awful, we'd watched them get hammered 3:0 at Rochdale a couple of weeks before, so I guess we thought Burton would hammer them.

Lovely little set up at Burton though?

Very nice. Think they're going to hit the head on the ceiling very hard this season though but to be honest it's an amazing achievement they got there in the first place.

I said to the old man on the way out, "just imagine if they go up and Newcastle get relegated?" Where will they put em all? lollollol

Clough says he'd like to have him back at Burton this season, would be a good move for him if he can get the game time.

I suspect he'll stay with us all pre-season and possibly get an early cup game or two and then go on loan again. A good plan I think. You often see youngsters impress in pre-season and it gives them the confidence to kick on and also it gives the manager more faith in selecting them if the opportunity arises.

I think it says a lot about the lad that he started last night. I know Mendy was missing but the Gaffer could easily have put James, Amartey or Liam Moore (re-born as a midfielder) in there next to Drinkwater. Positive for the future

I would loan him until January with a recall option involved. If he is just going to sit on the bench he may as well do here here and train with better quality players and coaches...

If it all works out, they should keep him for the rest of the season but with the same recall option..

If he gets the chance & I hope he does, some game time in the big 3 friendlies will enable him to show what he can do.  Could begin the season as a plan b for central midfield. From what I have seen he certainly has a future, whether it is sooner rather than later will be determined in the next couple of weeks.

I think a loan to them would be great . He already knows the set up and players, he will be playing one league up from last year plus getting matches under his belt .I can't help but think part of the problem with our youth players is not enough proper football at a younger age to progress. Look how many games DG played in the championship before he came to us

Let's play him up front with Musa.

An Abu Hamza attack would be sure to hook a few goals.

Do you mean Ahmed? lol
