It's a tough life isn't it :D

Did an interview with Heskey by the beach yesterday, was in a bar last night in West Hollywood where Cristiano Ronaldo and some NFL dude I've never heard of called Richard Sherman were hanging out and now off to LA baseball stadium. Yeah, it's a killer... :scarf:

Richard Sherman is an NFL player. He's a corner back, which means he's a defender who's trying to prevent the offense from completing passes. He's good but has a bit of an ego and rose to national prominence after this gem in total warrior mode with the adrenaline at 5000% . He's wicked smart too so sometimes he'll make statements when he's cool calm and collected.

i wonder if jamie or the team will have discussions about the film when they are in L.a.. wonder if any film directors will be at the game?

Southern California Day Three

I went down to San Diego this morning on a freeway called the Interstate 5. At one point it merges with the Iinterstate 805 so for fun I counted the lanes in each direction. It worked out at 12 each way and the road was still packed. There is very little public transport in Southern California, there are a few buses but they run at a rate of one an hour. The weather is still typical for the time of year, around 30 c with a clear blue sky. The City team are up in Hollywood today doing the tourist stuff and preparing for the game. Birch texted me today, sounds like they are having the time of their lives. The news is dominated by the Democratic National Convention with wall to wall coverage of Clinton vs Trump. My view is that it's a bit like voting for which type of venereal disease you want, they are both nasty people.

Richard Sherman, my man, is a Seattle Seahawk corner back and is much MUCH better than good and always tells it like it is. When opposing Quarterbacks don't throw even one pass to his side of the field for fear of being intercepted, puts him in elite status.

GO SEAHAWKS !!

Day 4

Getting ready for the game tomorrow. This has to be the most expensive game I have ever been to. I bought 8 tickets at £40 a go plus the air fare and car hire. We went down to Chula Vista today, just north of the Mexican border. On the way we stopped off at Arby's which is a burger shop. As we were going through the drive in, the guy behind the counter said "Really like your City shirt" . We then proceeded to have a long conversation on the merits of English soccer.

Weather is is still hot , 95f so it is good that the game is being played late in the evening when it has cooled off a little.

I would never suggest anyone eat Arbys ever. I'm 26 years old and never eaten it.

In-n-Out is the fast good burger of choice in those parts.

The curly fries are on point though.

Have to agree that InandOut do the best burgers here in Southern California. Just about every other store is a restaurant of some description. Mexican food is very popular here but it is very hard to get a decent curry.

The weather for the game today will be hot, hot, hot. It was roasting yesterday and I'm glad  that it isn't me running around in all that heat. Later today we drive up the coast to Los Angeles, the traffic on the California highways has to be seen to be believed. American drivers are terrible, they change lanes without signalling all the time and a lot of them are high on drugs. Drugs are a huge problem here, they get brought over from Mexico by the mafia and with it comes the crime that feeds it. Last night another Policeman was shot and killed by a gang member in San Diego. So many people have guns and are prepared to use them. Makes you realise England isn't so bad. Up the City!

I'll add to the thanks of your mini tour blog. It was wonderful to meet a load of foxes last night at the event in Santa Monica, my wife and I had a great time and getting to see the trophy was extra special.

Really looking forward to the game today and will probably see a load of you down at the fan zone before the game and in those of you sitting in General Admission as well!

Man, you don't let a day go by without talking some kind of shit about Southern California. You'll be pleased to know that no Leicester fans have been attacked by any gang members during this trip and that many of us are having a great time at the beautiful beach cities down here.

Also, since you can't say anything about this place without exaggerating, it's going to be 22 degrees at kickoff tonight, everyone-- nobody is going to be roasting at the game tonight.

22 degrees Celsius* or 71 degrees Fahrenheit for those of us who are metrically challenged.

Sounds really exciting if you ask me.

Over here in California , waiting for the game on Saturday which takes place in an area of Los Angeles called Carson. Not seen any other City fans yet although the locals are aware we are here. At the airport the border guard asked me why I was visiting and I told him it was to see my "soccer" team play. " You're a Leicester fan? They were great last year ! Loved that story "

They weather over here is hot an sunny with a lot of smog due to recent forest fires. The natives are friendly with a very large Mexican/ Hispanic minority. Not sure how many City fans are making the trip but there should be a good crowd as tickets are almost sold out. The team are staying in Santa Monica (on the coast west of LA, this was where Baywatch was filmed in the 1980's). Very nice area but expensive. I'm down in San Diego, much cheaper and to be honest, much nicer.

If anybody has any questions, post them and I will do my best to answer.

Hey there Brisfox...we have just come back from visiting my brother and his wife in Encinitas..he also used to live in La Jolla a few back aswell. Great city San Diego !

I'm just finishing a beer at the hotel and then I'll take an Uber to the stadium.  So excited!  Looking forward to meeting up with you guys.

Good choice staying in San Diego! Lovely city, lots of nice places for craft beer downtown in a district called Gaslight. San Diego is renowned for it's great beer production.

Enjoy the match in a few hours, it will be too late/early for me to catch this one on TV, but going to Stockholm in a few days.

Have a nice one!

Last night was such a surreal experience . There were probably a couple of thousand City fans in the stadium, a few locals but most were from the UK. There were about the same number of PSG fans as well. The stadium was very impressive, there was a crowd of 25,000 and there was a number of fans with shirts on other than the competing teams (Man United, Arsenal, Spurs). The atmosphere was friendly with a couple of Mexican waves thrown in at the end. The game wasn't as bad as the shoreline suggests, the peno was very soft. We learned the following;

1) We really miss Kante

2) We miss Vardy

3) Musa can't finish

4) Chilwell is not as good as Fuchs

5) pre season tours to Mansfield and Notts County next year please

Farewell from California✌️

Think his posts are all very accurate to be honest.

USA is a country where people shoot each other black/white/police just for the lulz.

Also 22 degrees is hot to be playing football in when coming from the UK.

Okay , so I exaggerated about the Policeman who was shot and murdered just down the road from where we were staying yesterday. It didn't happen. Happy now?
