RoyFox Posted 6 August 2016 Posted 6 August 2016 Makes sense, likes counter attacks, good assists, scores with both feet. Would play as an attacking midfielder or No.10, slightly ahead of Drinkwater and Mendy, in a 4-2-3-1 or 4-5-1. Also means Drinkwater can play a more holding position to offer added protection thus help fill the void of 'you know who'.

I really would like someone who can play that number 10 role. I really hope this is legit, he looks great. If he has the right attitude, get him in! With the departure of you-know-who, does that mean we don't have the personnel to play a 4-4-2 without exposing our back four too much.

Tough one, against bottom half sides we'll be fine with a two of Mendy and Drinkwater, however we'll need extra bodies in CM against the better sides. Kante is unique and I'm not sure it's possible to replace him, unless we go big, which I doubt, seems we'd rather buy within the £15/£25mill range now, and grounded players with a strong work ethic and character.

Would you suggest playing this fella alongside Mendy and Drinkwater? He looks the business.

Quote The signing might be conditional to the departure of Riyad Mahrez though, so not very much is certain at this stage. I don't know why the press thinks we wouldn't play this guy and Mahrez in the same team....
Nick Posted 6 August 2016 Posted 6 August 2016 I could compile a YouTube vid of Andy King and some people on here would be splashing at the gash to sign him for that position.... Well okay, maybe not but I simply am urging some posters to ere on the side of caution as I'm not sure this fella is that fast or that prolific. He clearly works hard though so we should sign him up.....

But if this guy has the workrate and can play across a number of positions he sounds like a goer.

Nah this guy would play in the center I think, He'd be wasted out wide completely based on what i've seen of him. Looks much better centrally playing the Okazaki role and linking midfield to the attack. Musa, Mahrez and vardy being supplied by passes like the ones in the video i linked above, Devastating. I think this is correct. He seems to be good at feeding the ball, even in difficult situations. He could make our attack devastating.
NewquayFox Posted 7 August 2016 Posted 7 August 2016 They are all burks at Forest, and Derby come to think of it... Up the City.....
LcFc_Smiv Posted 7 August 2016 Posted 7 August 2016 Burke has been the one good thing for Forest and fans over the past season, if we signed him it would destroy them.
Finnaldo Posted 7 August 2016 Posted 7 August 2016 There's a special section in the dark, 2005-12 Champ'ship/L1 childhood part of my soul that reserves a special hatred for Chris Burke, I've repressed the reason why but I still can't think of Chris Burke and not think "what a gargantutwat".

Good job we are on about Ollie Burke
ALC Fox Posted 7 August 2016 Posted 7 August 2016 Video looks good, as they all do. Claudio said he wants 2 players for every position. I can see him slotting in for Drinkwater quite nicely if Drinky tires towards the end of a game, or if the side needs to be rotated to keep everyone fresh. Vardy and Musa would profit nicely from the kind of through balls he seems to be capable of. I agree with other posters as well though, it would allow us to pack the midfield a bit more as well, to help us cover the back 4 a bit more after the loss of Kanté.
