Is this when Kermogrant scored the first time and they ended up doing the double over us?

My only visit to Charlton was when Matty James got sent off and then Pearson got sent off too.

We always seem to lose at Charlton but it's always an enjoyable trip.

I think the 2-0 defeat in 07 was about as bad as I've seen us play. I remember walking out the ground thinking we'd be kicking around the lower leagues for the next decade at least.

I was there. Shit evening

The fish and chips from o/s the ground was the best part.

think kingy scored and we should have won on the balance of play, never mind lost.

This was actually the game when I thought that Pearson might be on to something.

We'd beaten Peterborough 2-0 on the opening day in what was a bit of a grind and went 2-0 down pretty quickly in this game but once Beckford had been hooked we started to look pretty decent, attacking at pace and for the first time that I could remember a bit of flair too. That was one of Knockaert's first games and he looked great

this wasn't the Matty James red card game - that was three years ago

That's why I asked the question whether it was that game or when Kermogrant scored and they did the double over us that season...

I remember it well, a very drab day. I often refer to the Barnsley game, I thought our rise was done after that game and we would slip into a coma like Florrest and Leeds. How wrong I was.

I remember being quite hopeful after that game, surprisingly, we'd totally battered them and Knockaert looked a star. Unbelievable that we lost it.

Not always, I remember going to FA cup... 5th round I think? Levein days with big Dion scoring the winner :scarf:

Morgan went on a run down the wing in dying seconds and crossed for Vardy who headed straight at the keeper

I went mental and called him a shit non league willy puller.

Both times I've been to Charlton we've bossed it and lost

Yep, and the League Cup win in 98 thanks to Tony Cottee. Just the league fixtures we seem to struggle with, whether it's at the Valley or Upton Park.

Knocky's first outing I think? Pulled there pants down a few times. I remember the Charlton match report; first time I've seen a team's official media say they were lucky. Hamer had a great game for them.
