Master Fox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Makes Kante going to Chelsea for £32 million seem like chump change. What a bargain they got.

That's a lawsuit waiting to happen then!! We need to structure it in a way that the risk of a legal challenge sits with SL

Bagworthblue Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Just now, FireFox said: We did it with RDL and James and were fine. Yes. As it benefits SL, they need to take the risk. This is easily addressed in the contract.
artursteppe Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Blimey, that has the ring of credibility about it. Clever business, if true, by both clubs.
Manwell Pablo Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Yeah +1 Rudders. Go Rudders. Can't see how that benefits anyone but SCP but YAY RUDDERS

weller54 Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 I'm maturing fast waiting for further information!!....
azzathehack Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 If that's the case, could they not just give us Slimani for free and charge €60 million for Silva?

Maybe Rudders is showing his acumen here. it depends. If I sold player with a future sell on clause I would insist that the future sale is linked to market rate. Not sure how in practice but there would be a way of protecting an asset that you still have an interest in. I'm sure we have a lawyer on here that would have a view

That's being called as stupid bullshit over here, as we "only" have 80% of both players, so a package deal for one wouldn't get us more money, we'd just give it to someone else.

Well yeah the overall price is better than reported I still don't see how screwing Slimani's previous clubs out of the grand some of 3 million benefits anyone but them.

SheppyFox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 The Sun reporting this now: SILVA FOX Leicester transfer news: Adrien Silva deal nears as Foxes agree staggering £38.5million fee for Sporting Lisbon skipper
rmahrez Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Seems like a great solution for both sides. Get it done.

Yeh, maybe you are right, but their owner is a bit of a tit, so when he suggests someting like that, that we don't care about, we say 'yeh, good idea, let's do it'.

They don't have to pay £3 million more...and therefore we get him for £3 million less.
GaelicFox Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 This is all utter madness quite honestly rudders has lost the plot ! Time will tell how this works out but I'm not comfortable i sense someone is trying to put the biggest mistake in clubs history (giving Kante a stupid release clause) right by this silva signing all seems to be mental
TripAdvisor Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 Sporting has 100% of Adrien's rights. I'm sure about that.
FoxinNotts Posted 31 August 2016 Posted 31 August 2016 So that's the Sun an ESPN. Definitely not happening then
