EXCLUSIVE GAME - Leicester wants the average in the market and the average wants Leicester, which has provided more than EUR 25 million. "After so many years of loyalty, I think that no one will criticize me for wanting to embrace this challenge," says the 23 and captain of the Lions, contacted by GAME in day concentration in the selection. It's hot topic over the closure of the transfer window ...

Leicester gave Sporting a proposal to hire him. Confirm? The value of this offer is a little above 25 million? It is a challenge that excites?
Yes, I confirm this proposal. The sporty design of Leicester is very interesting and corresponds to my career goals.

He says it is "interesting". Because?
-After Past 15 years at Sporting, this opportunity is something exceptional for me and can allow me to express and impose another championship, and also to evolve in the Premier League, which is a stunning league.

"The president assured me when, after so many years of dedication, he would not put obstacles to my professional development since received an interesting proposal for both parties"

How do you think fans will react to Sporting?
'I love Sporting as a family and I dedicated myself to the club since I was 12 years old. With Sporting lived many moments of happiness. I can say that I grew up with the club. At 27 years old, and after so many years of loyalty, I think that no one will criticize me for wanting to embrace this challenge.

It will be difficult, after all these years, leaving Sporting?
-quit Home is always difficult part of my heart will always be here. But at the same time, this is the time to live another footballing experience. Of course, I will miss Sporting environment. I met many exceptional people, tremendous fans an unforgettable team, a coach who always understood me. But a president who knew how to grow the club and who knew establish respect and mutual trust. The President assured me when, after so many years of dedication, he would not put obstacles to my professional development since received an interesting proposal for both parties. I think that is the case and we should come up with something concrete soon.

Crikey. Slimani and Silva would be incredible. This guy really impressed me at the Euros, good player with an unbelievable work rate. Wow.

He is very good, works hard and his technique is superior to Kante's

Kante does more dirty work than Adrien but a pairing of Adrien and Drinkwater is really interesting

Great addition if completed and for 25m as reported is just a steal imo

It would be smart to have a player that could understand Slimani's movement etc. Paired with Drinky who feeds Vardy...

How realistic is this? Surely this means an offload of James & Inler to accommodate.

I must confess I don't know too much about him, but he is the captain for Sporting Lisbon. How do you add a video so it displays inline with a post? Don't know, so here is a link anyway!

Looks good, although personally I would have gone for Carvalho just because I'm not 100% sure we need this type of player. More than happy to be proved wrong though!

And with a more sombre note, as excited as I am about this and the Slimani deal, I feel sorry for Sporting Lisbon. This summer alone they have lost Joao Mario, Slimani and their Captain despite finishing 2nd in their league! That sort of thing almost happened to us so is many ways the amount of money we are throwing round now sometimes makes me think that it's not a good thing to go in this direction. Of course I realise that in the Premier League, you have to do this otherwise everyone else will!

Fair to say we go straight to the top of Sportings "hate" list if we rob those two from them.

if we beat Porto home and away in the Champions league, they will like us a bit more :)

I think they would be narked for stealing Slim Shady (though for a pretty penny), but robbing their Captain? They'll be spitting feathers. Don't they know we like a team captains?
