We lost the game in midfield didn't think our defence did to much wrong. Thought Marez was the only player looking capable of doing something but needs more support from other players.

Schmeichel 7

Simpson 5

Morgan 5

Huth 5

Fuchs 6

Mahrez 6

Drinkwater 3

Amartey 3

Albrighton 3

Okazaki 3

Vardy 5

Subs:

Hernandez 3

Musa 4

Ulloa 6

Can't put all our problems on the midfield, our defence was awful, as highlighted on motd, Fuchs and Simpson caught ball watching far to much.

Albrighton forgot how to pass to his own players, drinky tried, but was swamped as amartey was like a rabbit in head lights, and mahrez looks lost.

Not one player played well enough, barring Leo, who looked head and shoulders above the rest, not due to skill, he just put the effort in, and tried to make something happen.

Kasper our best player bar the fourth goal he did well

Defensively we were awful but they were fantastic. Fuchs isn't the player he was last season- would like to see Chilwell given a chance

Midfield wise I thought Drinkwater was good first half but sloppy in posession second. I always defend Mahrez but that was a disgraceful lacklustre performance.

Okazaki isn't good enough I've said it time and again. Vardy did OK but just wasn't in the game. Musa looks dangerous but his decision making is poor- needs a run of games to learn English football and gain confidence.

Special mention for Ulloa- did really well when he came on. His first touch has improved dramatically since he's been at the club. Credit to him.

I've had enough of Schmeichel.

His distribution puts us under pressure game in and game out.

He come for utterly stupid balls. Fourth goal being a prime example.

Second goal he should be narrowing the angle.

He's brilliant in a one on one and made some important saves today but it's error after error after error.

He winds me up.

Wow... Just wow. I hope someone does a compilation of his involvement yesterday. He made 3-4 crucial saves, could do nothing about the first three goals and his distribution was good yesterday. One dash when the game had slipped us by warrants this?

You have a freakin massive chip on your shoulder as do many others when it comes to Kasper.

It's verging on comical and tragic.

Narrowing what angle? Mane was dead centre. No need to come rushing out for the fourth but he was pretty good yesterday - lot of crucial saves and kept us in it for far longer than we should have been.

He was our best player yesterday, no doubt about it. Without his saves and making his body big, we would have lost 6 or 7. Last goal was stupid was obviously lost is head or something.

Highly doubt he would have done it if we were only one down, probably thought to try and get it up the pitch quicker and further but it backfired, not too worried he had a great game otherwise, not much he could have done with any of the other goals. Hernandez looked better as a defensive asset as I felt Simpson is trying to attack more even though its not his game, our fullbacks seem to be moving further up the pitch meaning they are out of possession when they lose the ball, didn't used to do it last season as much if I remember correctly. Only used to get up the pitch after we have been in there half for a good while.

Mainly 2-to-4s

Schmeichel - 4 Kept the score in single figures but played like he'd had a brain transplant

Simpson - 3

Morgan - 4

Huth - 1 - What is he smoking? He fouls at every single attacking corner & FK, meaning we concede a FK when we should have a chance on goal. Players run round him like he isn't there

Fuchs - 2 - Poor season so far, all over the place defensively, out of position. Wake the Fuchs up!

Mahrez - 3 -  Definition of a luxury player, Milner took the absolute pee out of him. Yes, MILNER

Amartey - 1 - Difficult to see how he'd get in a Sunday league pub team

Drinkwater - 4 Hard to play when you're just about the only outfield player who turned up and it showed. (4 out of pity, really a 2)

Albrighton - 4 - Kept Clyne under control, put a few balls in but no one there to compete

Okazaki - 1 - Spent the whole time on his arse

Vardy - 2 - Scored a sitter missed other easy chances, allowed Liverpool to play from the back

Ranieri - 1 - Awful showing in every way. We need the Tinkerman to get back to what worked or come up with a new system, this halfway house will see us in the bottom 6

This! Can find very little fault with your appraisal. Gray and Chilwell in for Fuchs and Mahrez!

Maybe we should buy back Chris Weale, Ricardo, Ian Walker or Ikeme? :P

... exactly, so you come out and narrow the opportunity. Idiot.

There's not an angle you blithering tool. You can't narrow dead centre. You can come out to rush them, and kasper did - got a hand to it as well; enough to loop it up and if the defence hadn't given up they'd have had a decent chance at a goalline clearance.

Kasper 4 should not have been playing so soon after surgery. His kicking and movement not good and he doesn't look match fit. Some decent saves.

Simpson 5 until went off injured.

Morgan 3 looked jetlagged

Huth 4  not at his best

Fuchs 4 also not at his best

Mahrez 5 heavily marked as usual

Amartey 4 not a patch on the Swansea performance.

Drinkwater 5 our best player

Albrighton 4 competent but no threat

Okasaki 4 another jetlagged one

Vardy 5 gifted a goal

Hernandez 5 did OK long throw was a threat

Musa 5 playing in the hole didn't suit.

Ulloa 5 did OK

Claudio 4 poor tactics for once. King in midfield would have been better.

Liverpool 8 tore us apart, but still fragile at the back. They either score 4 or concede 4!), I think they will get a lot of injuries again this season.

Conceeding the early goal and losing Simpson seemed to ruin our plan.

We had a pisspoor performance at Anfield last year too. One to forget.

Onwards and upwards. This season will be a slog and return to normality. I am not delusional enough to expect every season to be like last. We will finish top half, which 2 years ago would have been considered a major success.
