boots60 Posted 20 September 2016 Author Posted 20 September 2016 Joey, what would you be doing if you weren't a footballer? Life.
Wymsey Posted 20 September 2016 Posted 20 September 2016 It's wrong to allow players like him to have Twitter accounts etc, making stupid comments to make the trolls bite back.

He's got some demons alright, but underneath all the BS and bravado, there's probably a vulnerable guy just craving love and attention.
Vacamion Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 Apparently, the swearword laden outburst to his team mates and manager included his assessment that they aren't much good. If he IS finished up here, good. The last thing the old firm derby needs is him. I spent the last "battle of the bigot twins" waiting for him to lose his head, stick the nut on someone or go full studs up into a tackle, before having a go at the baying crowd as he was dragged off. He's THAT unhinged and self-regarding, you wouldn't have put it past him. We have enough problems in Glasgow without Barton going full pencils up the nostrils.

Life. get that it's a joke but people using comments like this against people like barton make themselves look stupid. if he didn't become a pretty successful footballer he probably would be doing life, looking at his upbringing and his family. does he not deserve some credit for trying to educate himself, developing and harbouring a pretty big talent and making a good living for himself and now hopefully for his family, rather than axing someone to death? hes from a shithole (trust me it's shit) and he's now a millionaire. he is thick as fu ck but he's tried to educate himself on all sorts of issues to better himself. sure he's mental and when he's angry he's angry but at least he's tried/trying to give himself a chance instead of just admitting defeat because his family are a bit rough. gonna buy his book on payday think it'll be dece.
Raj Posted 24 September 2016 Posted 24 September 2016 I like listening to him. Beats all the monotone PR manipulated footballers who are told what to say. Fair enough he gets things wrong now and again but he ain't afraid to say what he thinks.

If he was a losing account they would have told no one ! Rooney lost £2m and no one questioned him
