STUHILL Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Beat WBA next weekend with another decent performance, then definitely. We had so much momentum from the ending of 2014/15 Season, that carried us into last season and kept us going right until the end. We were always going to slow down at some point and all that pointed towards the start of this season with tough away games and dealing with the Champions League. We seem to finally be getting the balance right with performing in the Champions League but also matching them with decent displays in the Premier League. My only concern, is that we still have exciting players like Gray and Kaputska not being given any real game time and we also haven't figured out how to get the best out of Vardy and Slimani together. I also liked the stability of knowing our starting 11 last season and how well that worked for us, but we still seem to not have identified that quite yet, but patience is needed I guess with players like Musa and Okazaki forcing the manager to rethink his best team. We're moving in the right direction anyway!
Harry - LCFC Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Been several times this season I've thought we were gonna get ourselves going and if didn't happen. I'm hoping for the same again now though, and I think there are better reasons to believe we will go on a good run soon.
seymour Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Top 6 not unrealistic provided AFCON doesn't harm us too much
brucey Posted 30 October 2016 Posted 30 October 2016 Decent interview with Riyad starting 2:40, with some discussion of the poor start to the season. His English has improved so much, and he looks so happy
LJS Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 I actually think we are in a really good position. We are beating midtable/lower sides pretty comfortably. Other than Hull we've lost at away to sides who you'd expect to be challenging for the top four. They're out of the way now and I don't doubt we'll perform better against them back at the KP. I don't think a Europa League place challenge is out of the question. I'll be surprised if we don't finish in the top half. Top ten and Champions' League last eight would not an outstanding season and both look achievable to me.
foxes21 Posted 31 October 2016 Posted 31 October 2016 I hope next pre-season we stick to playing barrow, oxford, mk dons and the like instead of travelling 100000 miles to play in some muck tournament

I wouldn't be surprised if the current top 6 stays the same (in whatever order) and then there's the likes of Man Utd and Saints not far behind. So realistically 9th or 10th for us I reckon - which wouldn't be a disaster in my book. If we can also qualify in Europe and have a decent FA Cup run then I'll be very happy with that. Muzzy ..Noooooo!!! Have you bought out the stock on white towels. Or been nicking them from spa-hotels..

Every single club owner knows they are bad news for the team but they'll keep taking the dollars on offer. I'm sorry but I struggle to buy into that, United and City started well, the two were top for most of October 2015, we obviously then over took them in late November by which time I don't think any arguments about pre season tours are irrelevant. Manchester City didn't even concead a goal until mid September. I think, definitely in our case, there are better ways to prepare though. There are other much bigger factors into us not being quite there some weeks ranging from the very tough fixture list we've had (we've literally got Manchester City to go this round of fixtures and then all of the big hitters are out the way, nearly all of them on the road) and the fact that we aren't actually as good as some of our fans think we are, deserved to win the league last season but the big boys were always going to massively up their game. We under estimated Hull aside from that we've only really had bad results away at teams you'd expect to be battling away for a top four place.
