Thommo Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Would you have taken winning the premiership title followed by relegation the next season? If so what has changed??
ZeGuy Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Winning the title followed by relegation all the way. You're PL champions, no one can take it away from you. For all eternity. No matter what happens this year and I don't think we're going down.
st albans fox Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Caller on talskshite said he would have preferred two mid table finishes to winning the league and then being relegated. arshole. How dare any city fan justify taking away the emotions I enjoyed only six months ago. once in a lifetime stuff.

What's changed? We've won the league and we'd all rather stay up than go down. It's not like they're going to revoke our title if we aren't happy about the possibility of relegation.
Thommo Posted 26 December 2016 Author Posted 26 December 2016 I agree..we wont get relegated but at the start of last season winning the prem followed by relegation would've been a dream come true
Tuna Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Relegation is unacceptable. Can you imagine the humiliation for our owners in their homeland. Not an option. Putting this down to karma is just nonsense. Nothing excuses what has gone on this season. I'm tired of the excuses.
noodles Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 nothing has changed, we wont go down but even if we did then thats football, some clubs never win it.

I do not understand that at all. How could you not want what happened last season just because this has been crap?
foxes_rule1978 Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Last season was the greatest, that is something that can't be taken away and not many fans of other clubs get to experience. I certainly would take our correct position over someone like even Everton who don't get close to a PL title
Raj Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Our name is engraved upon the Premier League trophy and history as League Champions. Ask the likes of Swansea,Hull,West Ham,Southampton and numerous other clubs would they have many years of steady mid tables or our rollercoaster which UNCLUDES Winning the league? I don't want us to get relegated obviously, BUT would I change last season IF we do get relegated this season?? Not even a thought required....

crazyleicester Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Forget relegation. There are 6 or 7 strong sides, a few average and some disaster sides and some of the latter have no money to spend and no real quality in their side. To think we have played total garbage apart from a couple of games, three at max and arent routed into the bottom three is testament to how shite some sides are in the prem. We have high quality international footballers most who are out of form, we have amazing owners who will spend 50m if we need to and we will no doubt get out of the shite.
Thommo Posted 26 December 2016 Author Posted 26 December 2016 Hallelujah!! most of us are seeing sense Mid table?? Are you joking??
Poznan34 Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 The results feel bad now, but we'll always have last season when we were the best team in the land. Much prefer that to seasons of mid-table obscurity ala Stoke, West Brom etc. Most fans in the country have never seen their team become the Champions of England and probably never will. I can cope with ribbing from rival fans this season.

Blanchflower78 Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 Quite simply, whatever sport youre in. For a team or individual to be the best in their group and then worst in less than a year, someone has fked up big style.

Thommo Posted 26 December 2016 Author Posted 26 December 2016 We will stay up i have no doubt... then Ranieri will retire...followed by many a shed tears!! Mark my words... MYSTIC MEG IN DISGUISE
crazyleicester Posted 26 December 2016 Posted 26 December 2016 That excellent interview that Claudio gave Sky the other day summed it up. Last season everything was positive. Everything went perfectly. Whether we got a bit of luck, avoiding injuries to key players or took our limited chances when other sides bossed possession, all out lot played superbly. This season we lose our head of recruitment and joint assistant manager, Kante who was our most effective midfielder for the way we play as he broke things up and we broke quickly (we now dont win it so quickly hence being ineffective this season), we have had injuries to key players and even suspensions to top boys when we need them the most. We got hammered in pre-season against major clubs putting doubts in our players (and fans) heads when the previous season we beat the usual donkeys as we built up our fitness and confidence. I could really go on all night but I wont bore you with it LOL. As much as EVERYTHING went right last season, most has gone wrong this season. Where is teh Mahrez run and wonder goal or wonder assist? Where is Albrighton bombing down the wing and checking back, crossing and a goal resulting? Where is us defending deep and winning the ball with Kante passing it long as the break is on or where Danny pings a 50 yard pass for Vardy?! Its all gone baps up but we have half a season to get it right.
