Koke Posted 18 April 2017 Author Posted 18 April 2017 The problem with our style is we are too reliant on Vardy being on the pitch, and scoring. Vardy is probably our most important player in this system. We have beaten teams without Vardy before but to sustain a good run of form he is vital to us. I'm perfectly fine with our style atm but I want us to be flexible and evolve a little bit.
AKCJ Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Two centre halves and a right back and we'll be fine so long as we keep the rest of the side. Would like to see us sign Maguire, Keane and Trippier. Would be three excellent additions.

I'd like to think that Spurs would take 15m for Trippier considering he's back up and they don't play traditional fullbacks any more. Keane is probably too good though. Maybe Gibson? To be fair we could probably rotate Morgan and Huth for another year.
Vocey Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 I'd much rather we bring Gibson in than maguire. I don't think we need to be become possesion but do need to be better at retaining the ball when under pressure.
lgfualol Posted 18 April 2017 Posted 18 April 2017 Would love Trippier. Him, Albrighton, Fuchs, Mahrez (if he stays) all whipping in crosses would be nice. Simpson would feel hard done by, but he probably knows himself that once he crosses the half way line or is under pressure - it's only moments before he gives the ball away.

These changes just help us to be more clinical on the counter. Fast and direct. Drinky has proved his technical ability, with freedom I feel he can unlock defences, with his passing in that role. Insert Okazaki, Mahrez, Gray etc instead. All would hugely benefit from the freedom a quality CDM would allow. When we're on form there is very little aimless hoofing in our game. A long ball is not necessarily a hoof ball. Not a chance in hell. He's more of an 8 and in no way a 10. While relatively confortable with the ball compared to the lot (Mahrez, Benny and Gray aside) he's not a technical player, his shooting ability isn't great and his passing dramatically nose dived this season.

Id say Drinky is an honest hard working centre mid. I agree with you, he dosent have the quality to play at 10.

Rb...find him then you keep him for your back garden...Simpson is now top notch, probably the best defending RB in the PL. Yes we need cover, but no replacement.. Time the coaching staff found a Player from the academie, then bring him on like Chilwell... Maybe I might be misinterpretting your thoughts, but Simpson is one of the few who is the 1st on my team sheet...
