StanSP Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 He took us down but I felt like he wasn't given a good enough chance when he was here. Now would be the best time to bring him in and show us his managerial expertise. What does everyone think?
Barky Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Most of the league one title winning side were Holloways players so he's pretty much responsible for our entire history
Fox92 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Not comparable to Pearson though so no correlation.
chicagofox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 You are clearly a Derby fan or a fan of a fellow relegation threatened team. Ian Holloway is a buffoon who uses wackiness and idiosyncrasies to cover up his lousy managerial abilities. Just ask any QPR fan right now.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 I can see it, if he never got us relegated we would still be struggling in the championship! he truly laid the foundations that had led to this recent success. Get him in!!!
crazyleicester Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Great shout. OK historically he was the first manager that took us to the third tier of English football and the opposite of Claudio but like the OP, he has all the credentials to take us to Champions League glory.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Didn't give him enough time. Unfinished business, I'd bring Worley back too.

foxes_rule1978 Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Peter Taylor, should be his assistant I think, with junior Lewis has coach. Martin Allen can be the club mascot and Denis Wise the coach driver. Instant success I feel.

Koke Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Holloway signed Oakley and Howard. Oakley was our captain and Howard was hugely instrumental in getting us up, so therefore it wasn't Pearson who actually achieved promotion. It was Holloway.
Kitchandro Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 No coincidence our meteoric rise began once he took us to league one. The man is a genius. This is Holloway's team.
MarkDeVirus Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 It's weird, I was thinking the same. Plus, Holloway has the banter appeal, and would make you laugh even if results weren't going our way. Look at what he's done to that QPR side, won three of the last four. Get him in
Corky Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 He got us out of the Championship at the first attempt which is more than Pearson ever did. I'd be delighted to take him back with that proven record.
kingfox Posted 22 January 2017 Posted 22 January 2017 Do it. He can get rid of the current useless bunch and replace them with some talented Hungarians.
