Crying about this Transfer Window

Recommended Posts

I can't be the only one who's sick to death of people on here crying and bitching about this transfer window.

tantrum.jpg

'Whaaa Whaa why have we left it till the last minute', 'Whaaa Whaa why do we always start of the bidding with a low amount' 'Whaaa whaa why can't we sign a world class Center back' etc etc.

Why can't these people get in their heads that the January transfer window is notoriously difficult to sign players in with most clubs being extremely reluctant to sell unless they have a replacement lined up and its so hard to do business in many of the top clubs don't even bother with it. so far we have signed Ndidi for 15 million who most fans seem to rate highly which is not a bad return for January in the current climate but don't take my word for it lets look at how many clubs have (on paper performed better, worse or about the same this transfer window.

Better

Palace - Sclupp, Van Arnolt, Milijovic all for around 40 Million (Personally not sure they have been better but certainly busier and flashed more cash)

Everton - Lookman and Schneiderlin for about 35 Million (Cracking window for the Toffees on paper)

Worse

Arsenal - Cohen Bramall £40,000 (Henesford Town)

Bournemouth - no one

Burnley - Joey Barton Free

Chelsea - 1 youth Player

Hull - Sold their 2 best players and got a load of rubbish ones on loan

Liverpool - no one

United - No one

Boro - Gestede, Bamford and Soisalo (Imagine the uproar on here if we signed Bamford and Gestede

Southampton - Sold Fonte brought no one in

Sunderland - Sold one of their best players in PVA and brought in Oviado, Lescot and Gibson haha bye bye Sunderland

Tottenham - No one

About the Same

Man City - Jeses 28 Million (This kid is probably better than Ndidi but similar type signings for the size of club)

Stoke - Lee Grant and Berahino (a reserve keeper and a extremely risky forward can't work out if this is better or worse)

Swansea - Tom Caroll, Martin Olson, Narsingh (Bit early to say but Caroll looked a good signing on his Debut)

So some perspective for you gloomy bastards 58% of our premier league rivals have performed worse than us this window with only 5% or 10% performing better (depending on how you rate Palace's business)

How does Man Utd and Liverpool not signing anyone mean we should be happier? They're not staring relegation in the face having won the league by 10 points six months ago

Yeah you are right the Champions of England may just scrape survival yaaaayy!

this is the problem, negativity and bitterness about the clubs form has spilled over to the transfer forum but like I say you can only really say with certainty that one club has had a better window than us. if you want to moan about us scraping survival go to the main forum.

Well one of the solutions to a terrible season is to buy better players. I understand this is harder in January but it's still a valid recourse for us in our current position.

3 of them are below us in the the League so you STFU lol

For now yes! We are on a downward slide and anyone can see our defence is a ****ing shambles. People are entitled to moan in the transfer forum about the lack of activity, if you don't like it don't read it!

not that simple plenty of clubs have thrown money about In January paying over the odds and ended up going down, would you prefer a crystal Palace style approach?

Possibly. They are buying players in positions they are weak which is a start. Looks like they are overpaying but will be worth it if they stay up.

by that logic I'm entitled to moan about you moaning aren't I? I never told anyone to STFU in my original point and backed my opinions up with facts.

One of the clubs you have doing better than us, gave is 12 million quid for Jeff Schluup, Jeffery fecking Schluup 12 Mil.

Don't think they can be classed as doing better than anyone.

I sort of agree mate but wanted to be as fair as possible.

I think the original post here has the best and worst the wrong way around.

If you're needing to buy players now in this window, something went terribly wrong in the summer.

This window should be revised to only taking loan players in and out.

The Better/Worse list you made is not even relevant.

"Chelsea, Liverpool, United - no one" ...they don't need to strengthen like we do, they've actually been able to win a game away from home, for starters.

Just because other teams aren't making big moves doesn't mean that we should do the same. Maybe some guys here took too far but, I would rather cry for a month in the transfer window than crying for at least a season in the championship. Some teams are not in need for new player, but we are!

Appreciate your point and glad someone made it.

However you are missing the point because we desperately need to strengthen to avoid being sucked into the bottom 3.

We're the reigning champions of England, and have been in this league 3 years. We should have higher expectations and better pulling power than the likes of M'boro and Hull no to mention the fact we should be nowhere near the bottom reaches of the table

I know and I agree with what you are saying. Van aarnolt is a quality signing, would love a right back version of him.

Also people saying we are performing badly so should be doing better. Poor form makes it even harder to sign players so that on top of it being January has probably made it a nightmare. I understand your anger and frustration but no point directing at what has been an alright Jan transfer window (in comparison to other perm sides).

Clearly there are plenty of "fans" far happier being able to bitch this season than having to put up with our winning the league last year and lets not forget they were whinging last Jan when we blew our chances of a top 4 finish by not bringing in a forward. Plenty are starting to moan about the owners and the lack of ambition!! some actualy want us to be relegated or so it seems When I was brought up to follow Leicester there was never the promise of success you went to Welford road to see the team win week in week out.

I always thought we had for rivals, Forest,Notts County, Derby and Coventry. In my 50 odd years we have sometimes been 5th in that pecking order now 2 have drifted off into almost oblivion and the other 2 are a far way off. There is still time to salvage something this season and supporters can either be a glass half full or glass half empty type and we have far too many looking from a half empty glass.
