lee7 Posted 7 February 2017 Posted 7 February 2017 He's so dominant in the air it's unreal. Plus his passing at times looks top notch. The odd one or two go astray but from the few games he's played he looks the best passer of a ball that we have. He's also more than capable of taking on a couple of players if needs be.
foxinsocks Posted 7 February 2017 Posted 7 February 2017 Can we sing an ndidi song based on lou reeds passenger?
Clever Fox Posted 7 February 2017 Posted 7 February 2017 Hi Col, I wasn't talking about Amartey as a Midfielder although i think he can play there with proper Coaching. I think your prejudging him before he's had time to settle in. I see him as a mobile strong CB with pace and certainly more skill than any of the present squad. Funnily the only one that can actually play with the Ball is Benny and for some reason CR won't play. I firmly believe next season we will begin to see Amartey show us how good he can be and I think he'll become an ever present in the Team. I don't understand people suggesting players move on to bigger Clubs. I believe we have Owners with the resources to keep us top 6 on a regular basis. All we need is the right Manager with the know how to take us there. I truly thought CR might be that Manager but sadly he's lost his way with some very strange decisions.
coolhandfox Posted 7 February 2017 Posted 7 February 2017 Says it all when people are raving about Ndidi, he was solid, put some tackles in, did his job, had a decent shot on target.

That chance has gone, we needed to kick on this summer! Our transfer policy has been a disaster!

Yes it's certainly over for this year and the TF policy has been hard to understand. Someone of CR experience must have known our shortcomings in Midfield and Defence. Why it wasn't addressed is a mystery to many of us. Maybe some of the ITKs might be able to find out. As for the future we have to believe the owners stated wishes which is to reach the top. Hopefully last years League win doesn't dull their enthusiasm for success. Hopefully regardless of who is in charge the squad is substantially overhauled and players moved on. The problem is it may be hard to move some of them on with the salaries they're now on.

He's young and we've seen with Amartey how much a young player can improve when playing regularly, but let's not hail him as the saviour quite just yet. dont try and take our only bit of positivity away from us!
weller54 Posted 8 February 2017 Posted 8 February 2017 He could be our Saviour ...I know, I've followed a few!
Lambert09 Posted 8 February 2017 Posted 8 February 2017 Id be very surprised if he didnt have a relegation release clause in his contract.

Sionnach gorm Posted 8 February 2017 Posted 8 February 2017 Pogba has been awful all year (overpaid and overrated), but that doesn't take away from Ndidi's talents.

He hasn't really. He's 23 and people expect him to be a Ronaldo because of his price tag. He'll certainly get there.
UniFox21 Posted 8 February 2017 Posted 8 February 2017 We could really be onto a gem in Ndidi, if we can just get either drinky to recapture his form or mendy to be better, then we may finally get somewhere
crazyleicester Posted 8 February 2017 Posted 8 February 2017 I hope he hasnt got a 30m release clause

Oddly enough many Man U fans feel the same.
