Mahrez and Vardy ready to rekindle #LCFC partnership after meeting with Ranieri!

They have both largely played like turd this season but there is no denying that on there day they can be awesome. Im glad that it sounds Claudio is going to play Mahrez behind Vardy and not Gray there. I want to see a run of games where we have a more solid looking midfield with Albrighton on the right and Mahrez behind Vardy, allowing Mahrez to roam around and maybe to Gray to link up too and switch. Tactically, Mahrez on the right this season has been a real problem. Simmo doesnt get anywhere near him and doesnt over lap and Mahrez is doing more running towards his goal than towards the oppositions. I really hate seeing the dude run back so often to help Simmo and then he seems to be a mile away from the isolated striker and he even lacks energy with all this bloody running.

 

Lets hope the two link up and Mahrez starts creating the chances that we know a confident Vardy can finish and importantly for the team, we need Mahrez to provide moments of brilliance like he did last season.

Claudio: Riyad, Jamie you both were amazing last season and were a great partnership where you both scored loads of goals and got a lot of awards between you both. We need that partnership again with both of you trying to find each other during a game and using your skills to put each other in scoring positions and making surging runs. You were both so good last season can you please get it back for the remainder of this season.

 

Mahrez and Vardy: sure boss, we'll try and do that! lol

 

The players don't need a long line of meetings to tell them what needs to be done, if they don't realize what needs to be done and what is required of them and that performances need to vastly improve then they really can't be that smart.

Do these so called meetings actually achieve anything, so can we now expect Vardy and Mahrez to find each other and link up in matches and be super on it from now on

I'd guess at the ridiculous hyperbole of being on the edge of relegation. It's not as if we're two games to go and 4/5 points off 17th - there's a third of the season left and we're still outside the bottom three.

Mahrez was absolute dogshit today...one through ball to Slimani and one cross don't cut it especially considering he does zero defending....Vardy looks useless the way were playing this season...he gets one chance every 3 matches....surely someone somewhere must realise this level of performance is going to result in one thing - Relegation and I'd be surprised if many people will be knocking our door down for 2 players who've shown themselves to be 'ONE SEASON WONDERS'.....NOBODY I repeat NOBODY is gonna pay them £100k a week!!! Noose round are neck these 2!!!!

Mahrez was just like a passenger. The few runs he did do, ended up with clattering into the opposition. The transformation of the player from last season to this is ridiculous. It's like watching a world class player one season and a League one player the next. It makes no sense really.

I posted before the Swansea game, I've had enough of all the chat, debate, sound bites, rallly crys. All we want to see is some good performances. 

And look what we got......
