Mike Oxlong Posted 16 February 2017 Posted 16 February 2017 I voted - lost out to Spurs having bottled it in the last 6 games and get relegated
ozleicester Posted 17 February 2017 Posted 17 February 2017 If somebody said to me in Feb 2014 that In Feb 2016, we would be.... in the last 16 of the Champions League, The 5th round of the FA cup (with a winnable tie) and.... outside the relegation zone in the Premier league. After i stopped laughing.. i wouldve been thrilled.

LAST SEASON HAS GONE YOU IDIOT YOU HAVE NO AMBITION I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU'RE ACCEPTING RELEGATION ...and other such things. No point trying to argue with some of the melts who follow our club.

I don't think that's seeing the full picture though. Had you told me two years ago we'd be in the champions league, fa cup 5th round and outside the relegation zone come mid Feb, 2017, I would've said good season. However, I am all for the Ranieri out camp. Why? I think what most fans are not happy with is the inept performances those stats don't show. On paper, fine, great but it's the catastrophic reality that is getting most fans annoyed. You can look at what's on paper but in reality, the way things are going, that paper will be in the shredder very soon.

Would you be thrilled also if someone in summer of 2016 had told you that we won't win the fa cup, we won't win the champions league, we won't win the league cup and we look like we're going down with all the hard work being destroyed in the space of a season?

I would probably respond with.. lets wait and see? (and to be honest im still happy we won games in europe, so winning the champs league..lol)

I certainly wouldn't, I really can't recall when it felt such hard work to watch the City and I'm not paying to watch them. My heart bleeds for the fans that turn up to every game, spending thousands, and being served up this $hit by a seemingly heartless bunch of mismanaged players.
foxy boxing Posted 17 February 2017 Posted 17 February 2017 of course being Champions of England, which means so much to every Leicester fan our Premier league win of last season which can never be taken away even if we get relegated.

If the players suddenly found last season's form then this has the hallmarks of a great season. We could concentrate on the cups as we ease our way out of relegation danger. That just isn't going to happen though, the likely scenario is we'll get knocked out the cups by the first good side we play and we're tail spinning into relegation on current form. The Sevilla match in the last 16 of the Champions League should be one of the greatest matches in our history but it doesn't seem that way, I'm always an optimist but even I feel like it's damage limitation rather than winning the tie.

Matt Posted 18 February 2017 Posted 18 February 2017 Of course option 1. However, I don't see why it should be a choice, why it should be 'bargained' or such we should be voting for such hypothesis. We never made a deal with anyone for there to be these choices, options, scenarios. The fact of the matter was we were brilliant last season and the players simply havn't turned up this season, we should not even be having discussions like these. No-one expect last season again, far from it, everyone was happy with top half/mid-table, the way the season started we (I) lowered my expectations to just under mid-table, but to be in this situation is just unexceptable. Embarrassing.
